How to sell on Ebay

Well, no. I don't have all the answers.  Care deeply for all sellers who are having a hard time getting their numbers.  See so many frustrated sellers posting about low sales.  It is an uphill battle in this economy and it takes a lot of work, doesn't it?

I am having decent sales in September. Not record breaking, but decent for me.  I am spending a lot of time updating listings, ending and sell similar. I am accepting lower offers than I would wish. I am promoting all listings, broadening my item base, using coupons and sale events.  I am working at cultivating repeat buyers, communicating with them and giving excfellent customer service.

It's a lot of time and attention.  Without it, sales would be bleary. Going to ride this wave through the 4th quarter and hang onto my seat.

How to sell on Ebay

@bill.purvis2012  Sounds a lot like my plans for Q4:

List more and list steadily, use PLS, Seller Initiated Offers, Newsletters and Coupons/Sales, take Best Offers, usually with fast nickel rather than slow dime in mind, working to get repeat buyers where possible (I sell a variety of stuff, can be hard to get repeat buyers), and , if time permits, review and revise older listings. I will devote some time to Social Media as well, although that isn't as high on the list.

I was hoping ebay would announce a few things that I figured would be helpful for Q4, but other than the photo increase from 12 to 24 (coming later this Fall), I am not seeing anything, and as much as I'd love to see a big Holiday Marketing campaign with a little love given to vintage , I expect ebay will focus its marketing on its Verticals, which I don't really sell in.

So, basically, nose to the grindstone and hope for the best....

How to sell on Ebay

Don't worry. As todays life is going too much busy day by day. The best way to get the answer of your question is doing your own research. You could learn it from youtube and google. As when I face any kind of issue related to selling of ebay so I explore youtube and google related to that issue.

How to sell on Ebay

Yes I have done the same, and will continue to till the end of Christmas.  The more I find I interact with the system, even raising some prices, the more traffic I'm getting.  It is time consuming, the old statigy was post and check the site every once in a while and hope.  Now when I check it I make sure I do something.  There is a slowdown coming, but I think Christmas will be the last hurrah, so I gearing up.  You see all the people on the board talk about slowing sales, and others saying not so much, but here's how I know things are slowing down.  I sell a very nitch group of stuff, and I buy stuff on auction here to sell here.   I bid from a select group of sellers that sell mostly store returns.  Lately the last couple of weeks I have been winning some good auctions.  I know about what this stuff goes for and lately it has been going for less.  Things I might have paid 220.00 for a couple months ago, I've gotten for about 140.00 and it's getting more consistent.  From a buys point that's great. But from a seller's veiw, it means not as many people are bidding or buying.
