I received a positive feedback from a customer stating that the deal was good (Best offer) but the product was cheaply made and a disappointment . How should I respond to this customer? Do I need to refund the customer?
Thanks for your help.

You might get the feedback blanked, or removed since it is a negative in a positive.

No you dont refund. No response seems necessary but if you are kind hearted you could say. I appreciate your business and positive feedback. I didnt realize the quality was not top notch for this _____. Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. Its like when I buy generic cookies at the store. They suc so I dont buy anymore. The store could give 2 ----- that I think the quality is bad.

The organizer is cheaply made in China. Reply to buyer: please message me so that I can make things right. Or you could just choose to ignore since he didn't ask for anything. If it were me, I wouldn't sell those things, they disintegrate after time and flake off, I would return his money and pull the listings.

Thank you very much.

Sorry I forgot to answer your question. I am not drop shipping. The product was bought from a reputable wholesaler. I will be looking more closely at my products.
Thanks again.

As noted in the other post, you might be able to get the feedback removed. But IMHO you should take down that listing. You don't want to have another disappointed buyer, who might not be so polite in his assessment.

Thank you for the response example. Truly appreciated.

I believe that the buyer was generous with their feedback on your item. They could of given you a negative, and they chose not to.
You can be kind and refund due to the product and its inherent issues or chose not to refund. I would definitely contact them.
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving,
Grandma

Thank you.

Don't worry about it. Nobody pays attention to feedback anymore. Even if you get 20 feedbacks in a row that say "DANGER SCAMMER" people will still bid on your items.

IMHO the question is not "How should I respond?", but rather "Should I respond?" No one will read that feedback. Let sleeping dogs lie.
No, you do not need to refund the customer. If he wanted a refund, he would have asked or filed a case.
The buyer was complaining about the product, not about you.

Policy states that a buyer can leave neg feedback comments with a positive rating>>>https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/member-behaviour-policies/membertomember-contact-policy?id=4262
You could still ask ebay if they will remove the feedback though.
Feedback is supposed to be about the sellers performance.
If buyers want to comment about items being cheaply made blah blah, ( when the item only cost a few bucks w/free shipping ) buyers are supposed to leave a product review.

You stated Nobody looks at feedbacks anymore? Well if they are a smart shopper or seller they do, It tells a history of how they conduct themselves in a transaction. I still look at everyone's feedbacks and esp the ones left for others before even thinking about buying their merchandise. I'm in a situation right now on an item I've been watching and seller sent a great offer, did I jump on it? No after looking at some neg FB about a similar item he has, I did message him to ask Q, but I think I will pass.

You don't refund and you don't respond. That is the quick answer.
