How to post a item to sell

I’m looking to post furniture we want to sell on eBay. How do I go about doing that?

Re: How to post a item to sell

You take pictures of the stuff.

You write  a description of the stuff.

You go t o eBay's home page and click on Sell at the top right side.

You use 80 keystrokes to make a Title.

You follow the form that shows up.

You choose the price you want to get.

You choose Calculated Shipping

You enter the dimensions and weight of the items.

There is some more stuff but that's the basics.

You might try buying some stuff to learn how sellers attract buyers.

Re: How to post a item to sell

Shipping furniture can be tricky (and expensive).

You may want to consider no shipping/local pick up only.

Also, as @femmefan1946 mentioned, you may want to buy some things

or sell some small items first to get the hang of it and see how it works

before you start selling large/big ticket items.

You need a selling account.   You have to make sure you join managed payments first so eBay can get the money to you.   EBay needs your SS# for the IRS and a checking account to deposit funds.

Re: How to post a item to sell

Definitely agree with the advice given by the other responders.  Also, a lot of regular furniture is not worth listing on eBay because, unless it's spectacularly unusual, the cost of shipping will deter most buyers.  Personally, I'd try Facebook Marketplace or CL for something like this, or even the classified ads in your local paper.
