How to optimize lego listings?

I have mostly lego listings that don’t have any any Minifigures or instructions. Is there like a general rule of thumb when it comes to selling used sets?

@bremcdo-94

This category recently changed and is divided into 2 sub-categories - New/complete sets and parts/bricks.  When a buyer searches, it auto-defaults to the New/complete sets.  Which is "great" if that is what you are selling.  Not so great, if yours are not.

Personally, the break out of these sets, for us as a Seller, has really changed the landscape of Legos on the site and for us as a Seller who sells New/Sealed sets, not in a great way.  So many of these sets are pillaged for the MiniFigs and only the MiniFigs.

Use your add-on item specifics well.  You are allowed to indicate "which" set in the IS and the description these bricks are from (if you know) etc.  Also, if you have the set complete "minus" only the MiniFigs, "build" the set and show the set built.  You will get more for it than taking pix of a pile of bricks.

All lego instructions are typically on the lego site.  When we have a vintage set, I print them off and include in the pictures and send them along to the Buyer.  They are greatly appreciated and while you do not have the "original" booklet that is more "desired", you do have the instructions.

Good luck to you.  Be sure to notate in "detail" any pieces and parts that ARE missing from a Set.  You will avoid a SNAD that way.  It is more work to list the way you are, but can be profitable if you invest in the process a little.

Re: How to optimize lego listings?

Seems like you are on the right track.
Almost every LEGO piece has a part number on it somewhere, 4or5 digits. There are LEGO specific sites that will tell you what the parts are. or just google the LEGO number & color.
Start with the really odd pieces, and this will help you find which set they came from.
Most sets have online instructions, and also a "parts list" (showing every part that came in the set)
Those Ninjago sets had a lot of unique parts, and are hard to get back complete.

Your titles are good, and descriptions are accurate.
Pics could be a little better. Get a white poster board for a background and better lighting.
You might try switch categories to "Bricks & Building Pieces", and see if you get more hits/offers.
LEGO collectors are really picky. If you have 100% feedback so far, you are doing great!
