How to get no cost or only std USPS First Class std shipping at $0.58 for first ounce

How can I offer Free std USPS first class shipping at my $0.58 cost by affixing a Forever stamp for first ounce without eBay generating a $3.48 label? I've tried offering free shipping and eBay does not charge the buyer; however, eBay charges me $3.48 for a postage paid label I do not want or use.

The eBay label has tracking on it and is for packages greater than the maximum for a first class letter which is anything over 3/4" thick. Stamps are only allowed for flats basically and do not have tracking. You can ship through flats if your item is applicable using a stamp, by simply marking the item as shipped manually and then addressing and using a stamp, but you cannot print a forever stamp on eBay. Is that what you are asking?

Uh.....then don't buy a label from eBay.  And by the way, a Forever stamp costs $0.60 now.

I don't sell in your category, but when I tick on your listing "1864 Large Motto Two-Cent, PCGS Gold Shield XF45", I see 'Free Shipping' and I see "Standard Shipping (eBay Standard Envelope for Trading Cards, Stamps, Postcards & Coins up to $20)".

Could it be that the value is over $20? For that listing, you've got a $69.99 bid. Just thinking out loud... ðŸ¤”

You don't buy the label through ebay.  That's the only way to get shipping for the cost of a stamp.

Ebay charged you $3.48 when you purchased shipping through ebay.  You approved this.

25 years on ebay!  ARRRRGGG!

@surferjoetoo

What coins were you trying to sell/ship with a stamp? Your IHCs? 3 Cent Nickel? Flying Eagle?

I know a low value coin is often not worth shipping with first class, but I don't trust anything w/o tracking, so I only ship FCP. That's why I only sell coins that I can get a minimum of $10 for, to make the shipping even remotely worth my time, and I usually aim to not play with anything under $15, but my bulk lots often get a couple odd balls and I got some good buyers that will buy a couple low values at a time to make the order worth it for me.

Now...I'm sorry but I don't even know where to start with what @mtgraves7984 said... I looked at it myself and I'm baffled as to what you were thinking...

First, yes, ebay standard envelope is better than just a stamp, but the tracking is not the same as normal First Class or better tracking. It's basically scanned at the last distribution site and thats the last scan you get before going to post office and delivery.

-It is so unreliable it's not worth using at all, let alone, that is why Ebay forces a maximum value of $20 to use their envelope.

-Ebay standard envelope is for raw coins only -- not graded.

-Ebay standard envelope has a maximum thickness of .25 inches. A PCGS slab is about that thick, but now you got to figure in padding of a bubble mailer or bubble wrap, because I sure hope you aren't sending PCGS slabs with 0 protection in "regular" paper envelopes...

-You're selling your XF 64 2 cent for $70. You don't have enough margin for a $3.48 shipping label??? Instead you want to use an ebay standard envelope label for 90 cents?? (90 cent because the slab and envelope probably exceed 2 oz.)

-You care about your $70 so little you don't want to have GOOD tracking for delivery proof? You expect your buyer to be totally cool with a $70 purchase of a nice PCGS coin to be shipped w/o tracking?

I get it if you didn't understand the ebay standard shipping envelope, but I hope you didn't actually think this was a good idea if you knew the ins and outs of it....?

Just for info.........you can print an address only label.......no postage bought or charged ............by going to the Print Packing slip & More on the drop down menu in Seller hub next to the sold item.  Just check "address label" and clear out any other check marks.
