Hoping an Ebay Rep can read and reply. Last year when changing from Individual to Business, according to my CPA, I mistakenly signed up as 'Single Member LLC owned by Individual' when I should have selected 'Single Member LLC owned by Entity'. He asked me to change it. So I went to account info and next to 'type of business' there was an edit button. The presumes you can actually edit. I click and it only lets me 'confirm' or go back. Assuming this cannot be correct as MISTAKES should be allowed to be fixed I called Ebay. I was passed through four people. One actually told me to close my account and start over. Sure, 24 years, 24,000 feedback and 100%. NO WAY. The last person, identifying s Harold, was just as unknowledgeable as the others but did try to help. Of course he said he took down concern and passed on and that I would hear back. Well, in typical fashion, I heard nothing. So I cannot utilize the edit button to actually edit, and ebay's very own cs cannot help, the only recourse is to get attention of competent Ebay person behind the firewall of phone call level personnel. If anyone can offer objective help please message me through my seller account. Thanks

The Boards are member to member.
But we can call on elizabeth@ebay or other customer reps assigned here.
The phone reps are notoriously poorly trained.
You could also use the social media Chats.
https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/ — Message button in upper right on landing page.
https://twitter.com/askebay?lang=en
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/How-do-I-contact-Customer-Support/m-p/32016431#M1783851 -> Automated Assistant, type AGENT -> enter. You will then get more options.
The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

Hi @craigkevin! Thanks for the tag @femmefan1946. We're you able to get this resolved @craigkevin?

A lot of sellers have run into this problem @craigkevin and most CS reps have not been able to assist. See if this info helps:

No. I called one more time after I wrote this and got yet a completely different answer. I just don't understand how a categorical mistake cannot be changed easily. But beyond that, if there is a mistake why isn't there a well-defined procedural for doing so? I have really no idea how to get this changed. I call and get put on a series of holds which implies the rep does not know. You would think there is a defined process. Any help would be appreciated.

Most reports about the phone reps are negative.
Have you tried the social media Chats?

What was the point of asking me if I received help, read my answer of 'no' and then never reply? Your label says you are Ebay?

It’s only been one day since she asked you if you have things resolved. eBay employees don’t normally read these boards. A little patience goes a long way.

@craigkevin
FWIW, people will not generally know that you replied to their particular post here unless you "tag" them. For example, you were 'tagged' by me here, which would produce a notice to you via the "bell" icon that you could follow to the post in question.

Can you clarify this a bit more?
Are you essentially asking to change the ownership of your eBay account from being owned vy you to be being owned by another entity?

Just a possibility.... There may have been a time limit to correct the mistake, a year would be excessive. Changing the account in such manner can allow for changing who has earned the feedback. Changing from individual to business owned by individual is innocent. Changing to business entity is a different story. Free for all changes opens the opportunity for changing from business entity back to individual and perhaps not the same individual. Probably not an option as it gives you the ability to sell your eBay business which is not allowed.

Thanks but exactly why I don't post here often and why I asked that if anyone had actual actual o move to ebay Message. You added minutia about everything except my question. But god bless you.
