How to Improve Seller Performance Rating after Below Standard account limitation

eBay Acct fell 'Below Standard' and Seller Restriction was lowered to '0' listings approximately October of 2024.

-

Requested seller limit increase as of March 2025, with automatic denial via online portal.

-

How am I supposed to improve my 'Below Standard' seller status, if I cannot sell any items?

-

Reached out to eBay Customer Service via Chat"

Me: Is there anything I can do now, for Seller Improvement?
Yasmin: There is nothing which can be done from your end now as the account is restricted for selling.

How exactly and I supposed to make improvements to my seller rating if nothing can be done?
A little befuddled here...
Thanks,

I'm not sure what other seller history you might have, but I see four visible feedbacks from customers as a seller, and they're all negative.  Your overall percentage is 66.67%.  That's unbelievable.  While we can't see whatever defects got you into Below Standard status, I don't think you're going to be allowed to sell again.

Sounds like customer service told you you're restricted from selling, which means your days of selling on eBay are over.
Sorry.

Sorry, but your sales record for the past year plus, to put it mildly, is abysmal.

Seems that eBay policies based on service metrics, has made the proper decision.

Refunding when not shipping something that the buyer has paid for does not generate a "positive buyer experience".

How to Improve Seller Performance Rating after Below Standard account limitation

I guess my question is, how does one 'get back on track'

As the owner of the business (and not the previous day-to-day person that put the account into this terrible position)  I am now trying to figure out options. Appreciate the reply. This day-to-day person is no longer with the Company, so eBay was correct in that regard.

I don't think you can get back on track.  I don't think you can do anything here on eBay.  If you want to continue selling your goods, you'll have to find another place to do it.  eBay is not interested in whether someone you employed or worked with was responsible, only that it was your account.

You're going to have to take a different track.

You'll have to find another place to sell.

I'm sorry, but I think it's too late. You have waited too long.

If you had continued selling when the account was first put below average 6 months ago, then you could probably have worked through it. Since you didn't, the option to make improvements has been lost. Once an account has been restricted "indefinitely", that means it's permanent.

I do get notified that the account is reviewed the 20th of every month, but the inability to list items forsale to improve the seller rating is the part that has be befuddled. Seems to be a continual loop of a black hole, with no apparent fix.

I would agree that you are probably gone for good..........but since they haven't closed the account and the last 2 negs will drop off this month.........I would wait until  the following 20th of the month and see if the account review doesn't clear out the rating and drop the restriction.....

Your account must have been below standard for some time before eBay stopped allowing you to list any items for sale. They do reduce the selling limits for below-standard sellers, but they don't stop sellers from listing anything unless there is no improvement for a fairly long time.

According to the feedback comments, it looks like your most recent negative feedbacks were left for sales from April and June in 2024. You received 2 negatives from different buyers for items from that listing, and your 4 most recent seller feedbacks were all negatives, saying the items were not sent. So the below standard status probably went back at least to April 2024, maybe earlier, and you weren't permanently restricted until October.

Sometimes sellers decide to "wait it out" and just stop selling. Unfortunately, that means their percentages can get even worse, which may result in a permanent restriction. In order to keep the defect rates from getting worse, sellers need to keep selling and try to sell at least as many items each month without defects as they had the same month in the year before, to balance out the year-old good transactions that are aging out of the evaluation period. In your situation, any transactions without defects would have been an improvement.

The replies that were left for the 2 most recent feedbacks were not helpful. Just giving a refund does not entitle you to have the negative feedback revised or removed. The replies were left within the last 6 months for feedbacks left almost a year ago. Buyers can't revise feedback that is more than 30 days old, even if they wanted to. Also, the positive feedback with a negative comment that was left for one of the buyers is a policy violation.

As I said before, I'm sorry, but I think it's too late. You have waited too long.

IMHO you need to read between the lines:

your Seller Restriction is 0 listings

You can't sell here any more

improve your 'Below Standard' seller status

@directjdm

Looks like al the positive feedbacks you have are for BUYING on Ebay... the for negs I see are for SELLING on Ebay. DANG!

It doesn't matter who the "day to day" person was who put this account into this situation, this selling account is probably over and done with (and with good reason!)
