Two questions, but background first: Today I received a neutral feedback, "returned did not work" (no punctuation). First, it was not returned. It was purchased on April 14, delivered April 19, and I never heard anything until today, June 12, when I saw this comment. Second, the item was listed with condition, "For parts or not working," selected from the drop-down list, and I stated clearly that it did not work in both the condition field and the description field. It was sold for $9.99 with "free" shipping, as a non-working item.
1. It seems odd that when I go to this buyer's feedback page, and click on the "Feedback left for others" tab, I cannot see this feedback left for me. Why doesn't it show up there?
2. I'm not pleased about the neutral, because I had one other undeserved one that scrolls off the easily seen list soon, and now this shows up for the next year. I used the "report buyer" form. Should I reply to the feedback left, or is it better to let it go?

1. It should show up immediately.
2. It's a neut, doesn't affect your feedback percentage. I would assume most buyers won't bother to examine feedback if it's at 100% - I know I don't. A reply would just draw attention to the neut. I say let it scroll off the first page silently, no need to draw unnecessary attention to it.

Someone else suggested this on another thread. (Was it you, @southern*sweet*tea?)
You might consider messaging the buyer and asking if perhaps they confused your transaction with that of another seller. Be super polite and professional and all that, but gently mention that they did not return your item and you sold them a (whatever) on April whatever.
Just a thought. Up to you.

ELECTROLA..
If I were you,I WOULD reply. Nothing nasty of course. But this buyer's Feedback comment tries to make it look as though you were dishonest in your description--which was completely untrue!
As buyer, I do checkout theComments left by Neutral and Neg buyers. And if the seller does not respond with a believable defense---I assume the Seller WAS in the wrong.
I think I would say something like. I guess you did not notice in my Listing the words "For Parts only"

However I am sorry to tell you that Ebay is extremey unlkely to remove that Neutral. They almost never do remove a buyer's Feedback ratings.

Good reasoning for putting in a comment. It seems unwise to just leave that, implying that I was at fault, without defending myself. I'm going to leave it a couple of days, but then I'll likely put in a professional but truthful comment.
