How would you require cash only?

FB, CL, a note on the community bulletin board at the local grocery store, the local trade paper...
You can require what you want - cash, bitcoin, goats...whatever. Unload the whole thing in one fell swoop and be done with it. This is how you get a true no refunds, no return sale. That's what I would do if I were going to sell 500 of anything in one lot. No way no how would I ship it or take a reversible form of payment.

With very little selling experience, you're a target for scams.
A lot of 400-500 to one buyer is ripe for picking. Buyer could cherry pick the ones they want and claim Not as Described, and you're on the hook for a full refund and return shipping if you want them back (and chances are you won't get all back.
Break them down into smaller groupings. Yes, you'll still have some scam exposure but you won't lose it all in one hit.

You can also sell in groups of the original price, 10 cents, 12 cents, etc.
