I started selling on ebay for 3 months, as my items are low profit and small items, I send them with royal mail 2nd class non-tracking.

In August, I have already received 4 case opened against me saying that they havent receive the item! Although I have proof of postage that doesnt protect me at all !

want to ask in here what other seller do to solve these cases? What I did now is to resent the item to them...

I think ebay should start some protection for non-tracking royalmail post!

This is the US board........... you need to post on UK board to see how other sellers in the UK handle the problem.............

Ebay / paypal won't do that, they need online tracking to prove delivery.

Proof of postage is not proof of delivery as you know..

Online tracking is a bit too expensive with Royal mail, only worth it if the value of the item is high. Although some UK sellers do use tracking on cheap items, but it makes the postage costs a bit too expensive for buyers, and many won't pay it.

I post cheap items without tracking in the UK.

So far though, I have only had 2 item not received claims during the last few years.

Forgot to add, the only thing sellers can do without tracking is send a replacement if they have one, or issue a refund.

Sellers will always lose an item not received claim without online tracking proof of delivery.

If a buyer appears to be abusing the MBG though, like filing too many claims, they do get kicked off the MBG protection. They are not alllowed to be a liar forever.
