if you end a listing with bids on it then you pay the full FVF of the bid.

I am unsure if you cancel a bid and there are other bidders if a fee is charged

heres one of mine from the other day

No charge for canceling bids..........

You may be thinking of ending an auction that has bids.......

Thanks, it says "you MAY be charged a final fee".  How can I find out when I end the auction if I was charged?

You will be charged a final value fee when you end an auction early and there are bids, thus making someone the winner. If no bids are on your auction, ending it early will not accrue any final value fee.

There is no fee for canceling a bid on an active auction, if you don't end the auction.

@1tuna   As you showed, there's a fee if you end an auction early after it has received bids.  A few months ago, there was a discussion about whether the penalty FVF is based on the high bid showing (as if the auction had ended normally) or on the buyer's full proxy bid even if the full amount had not been used.  Can you tell, from the auction you showed us, which situation was applied? Or can you provide a link to that listing so I can figure it out? Thanks.

I cant really bring up the listing since it was not completed or sold,it was ended

I did not get any store discout or TRS discount

I think I just paid the full 15% FVF on the high bid

I sort of think they would not charge it on a high proxy bid but you never know

But did you pay it on their full proxy bid, or on the high bid showing (if they were different)?  You'd have to look at the bid history to check on the amount of the second-highest bid. You should be able to bring up a canceled listing for 90 days, same as any other unsold item. I agree that logically it would be based on the high bid showing, but there have been different interpretations of eBay's stated policy.
