How long does it take Ebay to review an uploaded video?

If I remember correctly, they estimate 48 hours. I've tried it once so far and it was about 24 hours.

ebay states usually up to 48 hours, but up to seven days if they are very busy. 

I had one took 10 days, and I finally contacted ebay which got it to go live.....no idea how many more days it would have gone if I hadn't contacted ebay.

I would be very hesitant to use this for an auction listing, unless ebay drastically improves the time frame. With my stuff, I can wait a while on fixed price items if necessary.

Its a mystery to me why they bother pre approving them.   They must be worried someone will upload a 30 sec ad for Sizzle perfume by Kardashian.

It sounds like it can take so long -- often longer than the run of a listing -- that sellers will stop using it and that eBay will eventually scrap the whole thing.

@tools*  It's fairly new for ebay, and my guess is ebay will make the effort to speed up the review process. If they can get it to a reasonable time frame, I don't think they'll scrap it. But they also need to set up a process for sellers to know what is going on if there's a delay, or if there's a denial.

If eBay WON'T EVEN CONSIDER REMOVING a listing, possibly with vile content that has already been seen around the world, until there have been MULTIPLE CORROBORATING complaints

why not just post our videos pending any complaints or a VERO to take it down?

I think it is more likely they are worried about off site contact information being provided to make a sale off eBay.

Useless feature if they haven't automated whatever the review process is.  I get most of my hits on new listings in the first 24-48 hours; and if the video isn't there then, I may have lost people's interest. 

It's easier to post on YouTube and drop a link in the listing, the old-fashioned way.

Just a couple things to consider:

1. If you use ebay's listing tool to list, you can upload the video and pics to your draft and let the listing sit as a draft until the video has been approved. Once it has been approved, go live with the listing.

2. While so far ebay has not changed its policy regarding YouTube video links, that could come down the road. Also, if ebay ever finally does what we've been asking---highlights and/or filters video enabled listings in search results---that till likely be confined to videos in the Gallery, which could put those with YouTube videos at a disadvantage.

And I'll add, the recent videos I put up (in the evening) have all been approved over night. But that , of course, is no guarantee.

What I have discovered is that if ebay doesn't approve within the first 24 hrs, they're never going to approve it.  Whether the vid has anything remotely objectionable seems to be totally irrelevant.
