How do you write item description?

So far i am doing pretty good job selling my items, but the hardest part while i am uploading a listing that i couldnt figure out yet is how to write a strong description, what are the most things i need to include.

So far I am doing pretty good job selling my items, but the hardest part while I am uploading a listing that I couldn't figure out yet is how to write a strong description, what are the most things I need to include.

Right now I am just copying the title and paste it on the item description, I am here to improve my self as a seller and I want to have some more knowledge about this and this is the reason i am writing this post.

If someone can tell me or even send me some lists with a good item description, it will help me a lot

Hello! There is an item description policy that is important, but the simple solution is to pretend you're looking for that particular item you are posting. Be short and sweet but be thorough. What do you want to know about that item? I see most of your items are new in package so maybe name what it is compatible and suggestions for use for the item. If it is used or pre-owned, be honest tell what you see and if any flaws are present. Also, if the item has been tested or not, that is important as well. Again, be short and to the point. If you have many paragraphs to read most will not bother.

Back when I started in the mid 90's that was he most solid advice I found on the forums.  

Write your description like you have no pictures and take pictures like you have no description.

One tip:  Search eBay Sold Listings for the same and similar items.  See how successful sellers described the items.  

I do not mean you should copy their descriptions.  

I do mean you should note the keywords they used, the info they gave as to use, size, color, age, material, weight, whatever is relevant, and see how you might adapt that to your listing.

Rather than a generic answer as others have given, let's take one specific item as an example.

Foscam FI9821W HD 1280x720p Wireless Pan/Tilt IP Camera Black All parts Included

You have a picture of the back of the box. It lists a variety of features which are small and difficult to read from the picture. Include that information in the body of the text. Highlight the ones that seem most important. Ignore any that are just generic word salad. Make note of the CD installation disc. People are going to want to know capacity - how many pictures does it hold, how much video will it hold. Don't just describe it - SELL IT.

DO NOT fall down the rabbit hole of worrying about key words.

Not everyone looks at both. The item specifics seems to be aimed at the search engine. But I scroll down to see what the SELLER actually has to say in their own words where they can provide more information than categorized "tags".
