How do you remove the "Authenticity Guarantee" from a Listing?

Hi All,

I recently listed a pair of Nike Air Jordan Retro 1 - Mid Hornets sneakers... and somehow it's showing the eBay Authenticity Guarantee(?) - (*We did not get them authenticated, although I know they are genuine!)

I'm not quite sure how that even happened, as I cannot remove it in the "revise listing" mode. If I remember correctly, I did borrow another eBay'ers headline and THEY were offering the "Authenticity Guarantee" - so is it possible that carried over into my listing??? - If so, How does one remove that from the listing???

We were under the impression you have to mail the item to eBay 1st to get the item(s) certified or authenticated, am I missing something? I posted another pair of Jordan's the same night, and it doesn't show the "Authenticity Guarantee" - so I am little confused!!!

Thanks,

Art

Study this page, specifically the sneakers section.

Basically any sneakers over $100 are automatically included. Read the details to understand how it works.

Thank-you! That makes sense. I wasn't aware certain price points trigger the "authentication" - which is fine by me.

Although that article defines the process very well. I thought to have read somewhere sellers are charged upwards of 20% of the sale - if the product/item is 'authenticated' - so, I still have much to learn.

Thanks,

Art
