How do i get Ebay to stop snooping at my files snd folders in padOS?

I turned the slider off in my privacy settings on ipad but Ebay keeps granting themselves access to my documents saved to files and folders. I only allow access to camera and camera roll. Yet every couple of days i have to turn ebay slider off for privacy in files and folders.

How do i get Ebay to stop snooping at my files snd folders in padOS?

I contacted Apple who got access remotely to my device and after checking told me to delete application. They said it is Ebay app issue. I filed complaint with my state General Attorney office for violation of privacy. Thanks everyone for help.

I would contact ebay corporate headquarters and ask them to stop snooping in your files.

Why do you thank they are looking at your files?
I’ve never seen an off/on button to allow eBay that sort of access. Where do you see this?

You could try asking here:

So I found out that Ebay gets access to files and folders automatically without asking whenever you use camera. How can I block Ebay from doing it automatically. I allow Ebay access to my camera and camera roll but not files and filders. This is intrusion of privacy. I move slider off but Ebay gets back in here and checks slider on. Never happens on any other app or website. Usually websites ask for permission.60D7F5A7-74A3-4140-BCFB-C6BBC8328071.jpeg

Because your photos are stored in Folders... so if you want to upload pictures from the app, it needs access to Folders.

@partfinds   don't upload your photos into a file or folder. upload onto desktop then into a file or folder after you've uploaded them into your listing(s) or put them into the trash.

it happens on application. Application doesn’t ask for files and folder access but gains it automatically. Your solution doesn’t work. I use ipad pro 12” . Why is Ebay not asking for access and why are they doing it automatically and why can’t I turn it off for good?

Photos are stored in camera roll on ios /apple; documents such as pdfs are stored in files and folders . Whoever programs/codes Ebay has no clue about devices and they are not making distinction.

no that is Ebay issue. Apple doesn’t program Ebah. I don’t have other apps accessing my files and folders : no facebook, no poshmark, no mercari or any other app asking for camera access. They know that photos are stored in camera roll . It is only Ebay doing it without asking and automatically.

Have you updated your iPad, and/or the eBay app?  eBay app on mine does not ask me for folder access, and I can upload photos just fine with only selecting access to Photos.

Seems coded just fine with the latest updates.

Haha. You must be kidding me?
i upload proof and of course I am being questioned and of course unauthorized Ebay access and violation of privacy is my fault, never Ebay. Great help to sellers!

maybe you don’t know where to look. But I will take an advice and file FTC complaint on Ebay.8E340DA8-DD0A-4C8B-96DE-7FEEBC7D6D99.jpeg

You didn't upload proof you have the latest iOS version and latest eBay app version, so it was just a suggestion.  Tech Support 101, basically "are you even on the lastest version?" is a great starting point, especially in situations where not everyone on the same device is having the same issue.

Just a reminder this is a board of sellers like yourself, and not eBay staff.   So we can only offer suggestions.
