How do I sign up for managed payments?

Hello everyone I signed up for my Ebay account in March of this year, I really would like to start listing some things around the house that are not used anymore. However I don't know how to sign up for managed payments, I don't want to create a paypal and learn how to use it just to be asked to switch to managed payments in a couple weeks time.

I am in the U.S. 

Can anyone provide some insight? Thanks!!

Check this out. I found it under "Help & Contact" top of page. Yes, no point in signing up for papal.

Go to the Seller Hub and click the Payments tab and see if you can sign up there?

So all it says is "We will email and notify you in My Messages on eBay when you can register to have eBay manage your payments. eBay will require all sellers in the US to register for eBay to manage their payments in 2021."

It allows me to "Learn more" or "express interest" in signing up for managed payments, which I have already expressed interest in a couple months ago and never received the email to sign up for managed payments.

So I tried going through payments on seller hub but it brings me to the exact same page that 327 chevy sent me that allows me to only "express interest" in managed payments.

I'm not sure what's wrong, could it be because I haven't set up a credit card on file yet for purchasing items on Ebay?

So from what I've gathered, the only way to sign up is for ebay to email you some link to join managed payments, is that how it happened for you guys?

Is this something I can call them about to send me the invitation?

I wonder if you just try to list something, if it won't kick you to the signup........might be worth a try.......

The way it happened for me was I was already a seller so they just wanted the verification info.

Have you tried to sell anything yet, without signing up for MP? Top of page, "Sell".

Try selling something without MP. I've never sold anything on this account but when I got to "Sell" at top, "List item" it stepped me thru the whole process to the selling page where I can describe the item, then list it. Never asked me for MP. Then once you sell something, they might give you other options.

When you signed up, did you give eBay your checking/routing numbers, last 4 of your SSI? Did eBay send a couple of micro deposits to your checking account? Did they ask you to confirm those deposits?

If so, you may already be signed up for MP, if not, do as suggested and make a small listing.

No they did not ask for social or account info, I will try calling them tomorrow and creating my first listing to see what happens.

Ok guys and gals, so I was able to talk to the ebay rep and she said I would need to create a new account and use a new email and that should automatically enroll me in the managed payments. 

However I didn't want to do that, so I went ahead and tried to make a listing anyways just to see what would happen and it worked! The website prompted me to enter bank info for payouts so it appears I am enrolled in managed payments!

Now I just need to get a shipping scale and stock up on some more shipping materials. Thanks for your help everyone!

@hoogamooga93  Thanks for letting us know. Weird that she would say you needed to open another account. I don't think she knew what she was doing.

I don't think she knew what she was talking about either and it would've been a giant hassle to create a new email address and ebay account.

Currently I'm waiting for the microtransactions to show in the checking account I used so I can verify it. Does anyone remember how long it took for them to show up?
