The buyer agreed to take back the item. Should I send them a PayPay invoice to cover the shipping charges? How do I print the return label?

Sending the item back to the buyer is ridiculous and just asking for problems. Since the buyer stated the return was not as described you really have no choice but to just refund the purchase and move on. Welcome to retail.

You really need to read up on the seller protections given to Top Rated Sellers with a 30 day return policy as it applies to a faulty return. Sending the item back is not the correct way ebay wishes for a seller to handle this situation. Maybe you can bluff your way with this buyer, but ebay won't bail you out if they balk.

This was a SNAD return, so when the buyer receives the item back she will simply ask ebay to step in and you will be forced to refund the buyer and you will lose your product. You will also get a nasty defect. Choose wisely.

Send them an invoice through PayPal, you can print the shipping label over there as well.
