How do I let ebay know that I've shipped and item,

First of all I did not use print labels from e-bay (That was my mistake) I admit.. 

But the item is shipped and I have a tracking number. 

So Please tell  me Step by Step How do I let e-bay know that I've shipped the item?

I know that I need to go to My e-Bay.. but then what?

Go to selling? Click on the item I sold? Okay .. I did all that.. but where  is it say "Confirm Chipping"? I just don't see anything remotely resemble these words. Am I looking in the  wrong places?

Go into your orders, find the item, and then select the link that says "add tracking number."

There should be an Action drop-down selection next to your listing in Sold items for Add Tracking Number.  Once you put that in, eBay will mark it as shipped.

If you were to use Stamps.com you can set it up to automatically send the tracking number BACK to eBay (or other selling platforms).
