How do I issue partial refund after accepted by buyer in a claim?

I sold a lot of 7 blu-rays and the buyer claims one of the 7 doesn't work. He messaged me and we agreed on a 1/7th refund, but then he never replied to my request for info on what email address to paypal the refund to. So then days later he opened a claim, and I officially within the claim offered a 1/7th refund, which the claim shows he agreed to.

Within the claim it says "We'll close the request when the refund is complete," but I see nowhere to actually issue the refund (partial or otherwise.) I assume doing it manually from Paypal will not close the claim, so what the heck do I do now?

So that means the buyer didn't answer you, right?

Do you get extra points for your hope chest posting clueless replies to any random thread?

When the buyer agrees to your partial refund offer @hausofnomi

eBay will automatically close the return request right after eBay is able to drain your account to refund the buyer.

Ok...well it's been a few days and ebay hasn't pulled the partial refund out of paypal or my pending funds from ebay sales... 😕
