For the first time in 10 years, I had an item (china) broken in shipping.
Went to USPS to file a claim but I don't know how to drag and drop or insert the picture of the ebay item in the claim.
Also, don't know how to put pictures of damaged item in claim from email received from buyer.
Feel like I'm getting too old to do this or the technology has passed me by.
Anyone had experience doing this and know how to get the files transferred?
Using Windows 10 with Chrome.
Thanks

DO NOT EVER FEEL YOU'RE TOO OLD TO LEARN THESE THINGS!
You can always search Google for (to start with) "how to save an image in Windows 10" or some similar phrase. Often, there are some great YouTube tutorials to walk you through it step by step. Some don't even have a narrative--they just actually demonstrate where to click or drag or whatever. You can stop and start the video whenever you want and follow along with every step, doing what they show as they show it. If you learn better by reading rather than watching, there are step-by-step written instructions available as well.
Once you've saved your buyer's image in your files AND NAMED IT SOMETHING YOU CAN REMEMBER. For the first time trying this, you may want to jot down each step you've taken, each button you've clicked, etc., to help identify a problem if something goes wrong. It's easier than wondering "Did I click that already?"
*I could not get the "drag and drop" feature to work for me today, and I didn't want to waste any time messing with it, since there is an alternate way to accomplish the same thing.
Let me know if anything needs clarification. I or another poster can help with anything you need.

Hi, this is an alternative method for transferring your picture from an email to the claims page. On your PC, open a window for the usps claim page, and then another one for your email. (I use gmail.) Open the email from your buyer. Click on the picture and select download. The downloaded file will show in the bottom of the screen. Then go to your USPS page. Click on the downloaded file still at the bottom of the screen, and drag it to the Add Picture box in the claim.
I do this with my gmail account without trouble. I hope it works for you as well.

Thanks everyone. Got the pictures uploaded. Had missed the step about saving them to picture files.
Next question. How do I save and upload the listing to show the value that it sold for?
I keep getting a message that it is not a jpg file.
Thanks ... step one completed!

Just one thing on the pictures. USPS rarely covers broken china, glass, etc. unless you demonstrate that it was the result of package damage (I don't think g-force breakage is covered, for that is classified as insufficient packaging).
So, you need to not only show the broken china, but you need to show pictures of how the china was double-boxed with sufficient separation between the boxes, and how the box was crushed or punctured.

Go to the sold listing page and use the "Print Screen" function on your computer (it is a button on PCs). This takes a picture of your screen. You can then paste that into whatever you wish, like MS Word or MS Paint, and save as a JPG.

Thank you! Thank you!
After resizing several times, finally got it to load.
Did include damage to box but don't expect to be reimbursed but figured it was worth a try (and leaned something, too.) So worth the effort when you learn something.
Guess old dogs CAN learn new tricks!
