So I used eBay standard international to a buyer who filed INR. The tricky thing is that often times these packages change hands with 2-3 different carrier companies so there’s 2-3 different tracking numbers associated with the package.
The original tracking that automatically uploads to the purchase (ESUS…) doesn’t get tracked by USPS, but there’s many third party sites that do track it. Anyway this particular package has 3 different tracking numbers (not including the FC tracking that it got when it went to the US sorting hub). These packages pretty much always get handed to DHL eCommerce, so there’s a tracking for them too. Which number was I supposed to upload to the INR?
ESUS only shows tracking until it left the US, the DHL one shows it cleared customs at destination country, and there’s actually a USPS one (LX something) that started at destination country and states notice given to recipient as package is ready for pickup. So I used the LX one. The buyer asked eBay to step in immediately when the option showed up (didn’t give me any time to call eBay and close this out). The bots put this case on a 10 day hold. Weird as I thought they would’ve just awarded me.

That would be my guess. Don't be surprised if the buyer comes back at you with a payment dispute. 🙄
Yea, but I'm confident that ebay would honor their seller protection for me and pay me out of their pocket if the buyer files a payment dispute (and will obviously win).

Do you have that same confidence if the chargeback is filed as a SNAD and not an INR?

Outcome
The case was decided in your favor.More info
The tracking information you provided shows that there was an attempted delivery to the buyer's address. The buyer is responsible for getting the item from the carrier. This case will not affect your seller performance. Any feedback left for this transaction will be removed.
That was unexpected eh? I wonder if an actual person reviewed it since it resolved before the 10 days were up. All's well that ends well I guess.
Exactly what at least one person expected would happen!
