The title pretty much says it all. With the new form, how do I create a listing with multiple variations.
And... while I'm here: perhaps I'm going down the wrong path.
I took apart a t.v. and I'm selling the internal boards and cables and was going to create just one listing with 14 different items. The logic here is the typical buyer will want to buy this and that part and it would be easiest (I thinking) for him to pick from the list and then hit buy. Is it ok with eBay to use Multi-Variations in this way?

IIRC, the variations format option appears automatically on the new form, just as it does with the regular form, IF you set up a fixed price listing and specify one of the categories that use the variations option. On the new form, it's after item specifics and before condition. The "Variations" option isn't available in every category:

Explaining it is too hard.
I suggest you read up about it on ebay then if you have any specific questions, come back and ask us.

That's not what the variations format was originally intended for, but it's probably not an actual violation.
The main reason to avoid that format is that it would be difficult to set up the listing so that buyers searching for one specific part (out of your 14) would find it in a basic search. IMHO it would be better to list them individually and then make a big statement early in the listing Description mentioning that you have other TV parts available.

No; multi variation is designed for items that are the same price, just different color or size (as in T Shirts)

That's not what a variation listing is for.
A variation listing is for the same item, but different size or color.
You'll need a listing for each of those items.

Thank you to all... I will create a listing for each item.
My question was really the details of how to create a multi-variation listing but I can no long find where to specify the variations in the new format. For future reference, where did they hide it?

It depends on the category you're listing in.
Not all categories support the variation listings.

Which listing tool are you using? Quick, Business or New? (It matters)
The help page for Variations is old and may no longer be accurate but it does say this:
You can create and manage your variations through the advanced listing form or Seller Hub. Each tool will walk you through the process.

"IF you set up a fixed price listing" -- that was the error...
Yes, it shows up in the new listing tool as a whole section and the "classic" listing tool.
Thank you again to all who replied.

That is not correct. I have used variation listings hundreds of times and have had no issues. The variations also show up in search when a search is done for the variation as long as you labeled the variation correctly.

I believe it is also possible to use variation type listings for assorted quantities with different prices. Used at the eBay shipping supply store for several items.
The variation tool is something that eBay is currently tinkering with. Changes to apply sometime in May as per a recent email.
