Really? This is the exact same doll. See screenshot of 2 listings of same doll, but notice the “trending” price on both are different. Are the trending prices real or nonsense? What are they based on? I do pay attention to those trending prices, but maybe I shouldn’t be? One says its trending at $104 and the other right next to it says trending at $129. So.... which is it?

Perhaps it is like the stock market - one minute it is trending up, and the next it is trending down?
Or, maybe like ebay, one minute it is what they would like to see it sell for, and the next it is what they expect it to sell for?

The difference in trending prices might be because of when the items were listed. One listed a few months ago fr the first time may have a higher price, because not many were available at the time or demand was down. The lower priced one might have been recently listed with pricing for the holidays. The trending prices stick with a listing until it ends, which means the good until canceled item listed in August will have a different trending price from one listed in October or November.
What I love is finding a 50+ year old item no longer being made that has X# new and refurbished from $Y.

The one for $95 is more accurate, has the UPC & MPN listed and 1 product review, the other one was listed without a UPC or MPN, so ebay is making a guess based on the title.

I'm guessing it is because the whole "Trending" thing is random and meaningless.

Exactly this. In other words, the algorithm doesn't realize that these are the same item, so it has set separate trending prices.
The search for silkstone midnight glamour gets 31 results and those are the only two showing a "trending" price. One of the listings that has no trending price is a multi-item listing that has the UPC and MPN and has 2 sales in the past 90 days (for $129.50). So I'd have to agree that the whole concept is nonsense.
Final note about eBay nonsense: On the right-hand side of the search results page, the column of "related" items is for women's underwear. So apparently their algorithm for "related" doesn't include category.
