How can the number of views on your active page decrease mid listing?

My views on my active page keep going the wrong way mid listing and my feedback score keeps changing. How is this possible?

Page views default to showing total views for the past 30 days. This is called a rolling count. So, 10 views from 30 days ago may be replaced by 0 views from a day ago and vice versa. If you click on the number of views, you can see what your counts were for the previous 7-day, 30-day, 60-day, 6-month, 1-year and 2-year periods. eBay also filters out non-human views which may be detected and deleted when found.

Feedback score is based on the previous 12-month period. Score changes as new feedback is received, and old feedback drops off and is not counted towards your overall score.

Are you kidding me? I've been on this site for 15 years, I know how feedback works. My feedback number goes back to an earlier time and when you refresh the page it comes back to present numbers. As far as views are concerned it must be those non human views being rescinded....yeah that's it.

Yes, perhaps while they were viewing?

Sorry, I was responding based on the information you provided in your question. I didn't see any examples included in your post to guess you didn't really want to know why the numbers change normally on the eBay platform and were really asking about some sort of eBay glitch:

Screen shots of what you are talking about would be a big help. Especially if it is some sort of eBay "glitch".

I have been on eBay for over 20 years. Guess I'll move on and try to help some newer users... 🙄

I know it's weird. Like a ghost page or something.

Re: How can the number of views on your active page decrease mid listing?

Theory A:

It's what @mybigsale said.

Views are based on a 30 day "rolling" basis.

If 10 people viewed your item on April 5th, 31 days later on May 6th those 10 views will drop off in turn causing  your view count to drop.

Theory B:

Another glitch.  It's all ebay's fault.

The listings are less than 30 days old.

In that case it's Theory B.
