So apparently eBay now REQUIRES a bank account to be linked to my eBay account. I was unaware of this and thus (obviously) hadn't done so. For whatever reason eBay let me list and sell my item anyways and is now telling me that they're holding the buyer's funds until I've linked a bank account.
Worse still, eBay wants ME to refund the buyer first via my credit card. This is NOT HAPPENING. There's NO WAY I'm putting $800 on my high-interest credit card when eBay themselves are holding the buyer's funds.
Is there any way around this? I understand I won't be able to get paid without a bank account linked so I would like to just refund the buyer his money and be done with it.
