Ok, I admit ... I don't keep up with all the ebay updates so shame on me.
However, I had a FOR SURE rating of 813 ( 100% Positve ) feedbacks ....until the other day.
( I have been keeping an eye and wondering about that " lucky 13 number, lol )
Then along comes a very difficult buyer leaving a big red donut on my Feedback.. sheeze.
Jest of the matter, his NEGATORY dropped me down to 812 .
The very next day After that neg. I got a Positive from another buyer( no other feedback left for me between the two, am a low volume seller but have been here for practically forever ) but my FB still stands at 812.
Scratching my head on this feedback math.
I get a negative but it takes maybe 2 or more positives to make up for it ?

Was that last buyer a repeat customer? In some instances you will see the feedback but it won't affect your score if they have purchased from you before (inside of a time frame I believe).

Sounds like it's just a minor lag in tallying the positive. Your understanding of how things work is correct.
I'm sorry you ran into a bad buyer, but don't worry. eBay doesn't take feedback into account anymore when tallying your seller performance metrics.

Did you recently open another account? I don't see anything you have listed or sold.

That last buyer that left the postive did buy 2 different items on the same day ...the other day ...but have never dealt with him before those purchases.

@tatertot2u57 I am sorry to hear you received neg FB ... the system stinks, is outdated, juvenile and needs to be replaced. It reminds me of the stick figure report cards we got in Kindergarten ... most other businesses I deal with use a survey style system so its just another "behind the times" feature. The system is unbalanced for a reason in favor of Buyers, its unspoken use to allow Buyers to hang the threat of a neg FB over a Seller's head to get something more then what they paid for. If I missed anything don't be afraid to add to this post.
In closing, granted, not all Sellers are stellar business people. But since they can not leave anything other then Positive FB for Buyers the system remains unfair. Neutral and Negative FB should NEVER be allowed until both parties communicate with one another to resolve the issue. There should also be a block in Site Preferences for Buyers who leave "X" number of neutral or negative FBs in the last so many months. That at least might protect Sellers from those who would otherwise abuse the system.
