One of ebay's PITFALLS is the ridiculous BLOCK BUYERS LIST. If I buy from you, only to screw you and you block me, you're only blocking my I.D. you're not blocking my I.P. address. I can them bid or buy through my wife or kid's account & I could still SCREW YOU.
I have over 3 dozen buyers blocked. For all I know they could've purchased from me again under another name or asking someone to buy for them.
Blocking buyers is only a band aid that doesn't really treat the wound. These same buyers are allowed to prosper without repent without issue.
If you've sold on ebay long enough you've heard of sellers being suspended. Can you name a buyer who had their account suspended?
How many buyers have you blocked?

It wasn't too long ago that this was a fairly common practice on eBay, if a family member got suspended and you shared the same IP address then anybody who subsequently logged in with that IP was also banned.
With the popularity of wifi cafes and library's computers, eBay has been a bit more vigilant with cross-checking accounts to make sure not to ban an innocent person but will say many people lost their livelihoods here because a co-worker who didn't pay their bill logged on with your wifi while stopping by for a beers.

Too bad if a collector wants your item for themselves but they also just happen to be a seller as well, right?

I sell my own collection. Not someone else's 😀 And a true collector/seller doesn't need my items ! They have plenty of their own to sell like I do!! They don't need my items to resell !! And a collector wouldn't be selling mass amounts of items as he/she has been doing for a very long time !! I think it's more of being nosey about the competition !! So NO I prefer not to sell to SELLERS !! MY CHOICE 😀 !

I've had a blocked buyer open up new accounts to bid on my items, but I always catch her by looking at the city and state the new account is from. Also, the zero feedback is a clue as well.
