So I sell an affiliate website that I designed related to the darkweb. It curates YouTube videos with all the "clickbait" titles - you know "You'll Never Guess What I Found On The Darkweb!" ...etc that kind of thing... well I got this message from a "buyer" asking if the site can help him find child pornography (it absolutely cannot) but I cannot find anywhere to report the **bleep**. Does anyone know how to alert eBay??

What would eBay do? This sounds more like a law enforcement issue.

You need to file an IC3 report

With no victim?

Does it matter if someone shows intent to buy? Would it be any different then intent to deliver an controlled substance. Their info could still be added to the watch list.

You do not need to have proof that abuse is occurring to make a report - file a report on the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

You don't have to have a "victim" to report an IC3 related issue - he can state what he has told us here, attach copies or a link, share the USER ID
Op can also call his local PD, explain what he shared with us and ask to connected to their Cyber Crimes division - unless a really small PD, most have them. They will take it from there.

Hi, below is a link fo eBay’s Security Center, but there is not a category to report such a user.

I agree this is not an eBay issue. The buyer has not violated eBay policies, and therefore it is unlikely they will act on this info. It is outside of their purview. There is no policy that punishes a user for immorality, or actions of societal outrage.
This is not to say your concerns are not valid, but rather that eBay is not a law enforcement entity.

Not to fear-monger, but if I was the OP I would be wondering if this was LE fishing for illegalities from me.
I agree though, refer this to LE.

Thanks everyone - After I wrote this I went and reported it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. I also got in touch with ebay on Facebook and someone actually got back to me and said they would take care of it. So hopefully something is done.
