Has anyone used the new feature coupon offer to make to previous buyers? Any success with it? Sounds like a good idea. It's in the drop down on sold /shipped items. Allows sellers to get another shot at the buyer.

I've sent coupons (printed directly on the packing slip) to selected buyers , so far, no one has bought using a coupon...but it's really only been a handful of coupons, so too soon to assess this. My kind of inventory, I don't usually get repeat buyers, but I'm happy to try this because: It costs nothing to try it, it only takes a few minutes to get a coupon set up and added to the packing slip....so very little effort, and even one sale from a returning buyer would make it well worthwhile.
I hope to do more with social media later in the year, and will try offering coupons there as well.

cantonchick,
No, and I don't expect my buyers to rush right back and buy something just because I included a coupon. But this is a cost benefit analysis: I'm already printing out a packing slip, and it takes very little time and effort to add a coupon to that packing slip. And there's no real cost (aside from a little ink). So, even if I send out 100 coupons and get five sales, I'm way ahead of the game. And of course, I'm setting the discount at a level I'm happy with, same as when I run a sale, take an offer or send an offer.
Sellers complain when sales are low. This is a tool to try to increase sales: it's free, it's quick and easy, and, right now at least, my buyers are probably not getting swamped with coupons from other ebay sellers, so there's also a novelty factor for the buyers.
I really can't see any reason not to use it.
