Hi everyone, I've just sold a hand knitted hat. The customer wants me to make her two more. I've agreed to do so. How can I arrange payment. Will I have to list them on eBay?

If you and the buyer both have a PayPal account, you can just send the buyer an invoice.
Once paid, you can ship said items or they can send you a money order/cashiers check.
They could also Venmo you the funds.
That's what I use with my kids and grandkids in other states. I love it's convenience.

Yes, you need to list each item or as a lot. You can use a Buy It Now and have the buyer buy at the agreed price on the Buy It Now.

A good note back to this customer would be; "In the next few weeks I will be listing some more of these similar to what your interested in, I will let you know shortly before I list them, thanks for your interest." This is just an example I am giving you, only a suggestion, remember do not try to take any sales outside eBay, as they monitor all emails within the platform. regards

Yes you should list them on eBay. I've had many regular buyers of MJ cards who send me specific card numbers they need. I always make a listing with a title similar to " For My Friend David in Spain". Then take a single not very good photo of what David wants. I let him know exactly what time his item will list. This ensures nobody else will be interested, it sells thru eBay with all the buyer/seller protection. I sleep better knowing no sneaking around was involved!

Just because you have one transaction on eBay with this person doesn't mean that eBay has a right to a piece of all of your future transactions with them. I agree with the above advice to just accept the funds through PayPal. eBay can't accuse you of taking a transaction (the original one) off-eBay, since it has been paid for.

I'm not suggesting anything, this is just a curiosity question.
Do you include a packing slip in your packages?
Or do sold notices include a telephone number...a mailing address?

Oh that's nice! Since this ebay buyer originally conducted a transaction thru you via ebay, make your two hats, list them as a lot and contact buyer with item number.
Keep all transactions within ebay and messages as well.
Have a great and safe holiday.
