Hi, Is there a way to block buyers with 0 feedback? I heard about it, but went into Buyer requirements and I can only choose -1 , -2, -3 of feedback.
I want to do this because I was recently scammed by a new user with 0 feedback.
thanks!!

No, not on ebay.

There is no way to block zero FB buyers. What was your feedback rating when you first signed up? If Ebay blocked zero feedback users there would never be any new members.

About 15% of my buyers these days have 0 feedback. Most of the questionable returns I get are from buyers with more feedback, sometimes well over 100.

Just because one newbie scammed you’d think mean they all will. Are you considering blocking all buyers with the same first name as your scammer? People from the same state?

No, there isn't an option to do that. I've had a few 0 feedback buyers this year and everything went fine with them.
Everyone started with "0" at one time. Not every 0 fb buyer is out to scam sellers.

Like the other posters said, there isn't an option to do that, but during my searches over the years I've seen plenty of sellers with disclaimers in their listings that say they won't deal with anyone with 0 feedback or anyone with less than 10 feedbacks, or something similar. I've seen plenty of other sellers that have a disclaimer that says anyone below a certain feedback number must contact them before bidding. I saw one even more radical recently that said something to the effect that they would cancel any transaction from buyers with zero feedback who buy their items. There is no way those sellers with such disclaimers can prevent zero feedback buyers from bidding no matter what they say, but it probably works to some extent for them to keep zero bidders away from their bidding on their stuff just because zero bidders will be apt to fall for the bluff. Whether or not such a disclaimer is allowed is another question, but there are countless such disclaimers in listings that run all the time like that.

No but why would you want to? I have known many people who joined Ebay SPECIFICALLY to buy what I was selling and some have gone on to become repeat buyers. I don't care how many feedback they have (we don't live or die by them anymore) just that the price is right and they pay.

Think about it, if sellers could block buyers with zero feedback then Ebay would be basically saying they will no longer allow any new buyers to their site.

Same here. I've had several instances where I was selling a hard to find piece only to find out that someone joined eBay during the last few days of the auction just to bid and win the piece which was probably something they had been looking for for some time. So far, knock on wood, I haven't had a problem with zero bidders buying from me, although it does make me a little nervous when it happens, especially if it's an expensive item.

Absolutely, that has been my experience as well. I don't remember ever having a problem with a zero feedback buyer - they are usually easier to please than a lot of their more experienced brethern.

What made it worse is that he is on the same fanpage that I'm in (I did the background check based on his name and location) and his post history suggests he seems to be an alright guy
