So I sold an item and a day after it sold the buyer contacted me and told me to ship it to an uncormirmed address so i opened a case. But now he hasn't accepted the cancelation and still hasn't paid after 2 days, how do I just cancel the transaction all together??

You Already cancelled. You don’t need to call eBay or do anything else, it takes 10 days for the cancellation to go through. You don’t need to call and get it closed in your favor, that’s not how it works. If the buyer doesn’t confirm they were refunded or that they didn’t pay within 10 days it closes on its own and your fees are credited 🙂

Did you file an unpaid item case or cancel the transaction? Sounds like you did both which is actually not possible. If you cancelled then you have no choice but to wait the 10 days for it close on its own. And what do you mean by “unconfirmed address”? Did the buyer ask you to ship to an address that was different than the one on his payment? If he didn’t pay how would you even know it’s unconfirmed? Have you read the seller protection policies? Confirmed addresses don’t matter and don’t affect your seller protection.

What kind of case did you open?

What type of case did you open - INR or problem with buyer's address?

The only case he could possibly open was UID. Buyers address shouldn’t even be an issue if the buyer never paid. Something is off here.....

The buyer asked me to ship it to his bosses address which is different then the one listed and at this point he had marked as 'payment sent' when no payment had been sent. So I thought it was sketchy so I opened a case for the unconfirmed adress, but he will not accept the cancelation.

A cancellation is not a case. You shouldn’t be looking at the address listed; you need to Ship to the address on the buyers payment. That’s the only address that matters. The buyer specifies the shipping address when they pay & they can change it during checkout. You should have filed an unpaid item case, it takes less time to close. You may get a defect if you cancelled the transaction.

Call ebay, tell them that the buyer wants it sent to a different address then on his paypal account, which negates your seller protection, and you would like it closed in your favor while you remain on the phone.
Be sure to make it clear to them the part I highlighted.

Yes, I'm sorry, I meant i opened a request, and since they haven't responded is there a way I can cancel that request and open an unpaid case?

just cancel the order...problem with buyers address

I would leave it as problem with address.
Your buyer is probably upset that you would not cooperative. He could pay, file SNAD, even destroy the item and send it back for a refund.

There is nothing to close in OPs favor. Why does OP need to call? ita A cancellation, it takes 10 days to complete And his seller protection is NOT a negated, if the buyer adds his bosses address during checkout then that address carries over to the PayPal transaction. The buyer never paid so there is no way of knowing what the PayPal addesss is.

No, that isn't possible. I haven't seen a message about having to wait for 10 days for a long time so I suspect that it is already cancelled. If you go to my account, sellers account and scroll down...does it look like you were credited the final value fees already?
But you shouldn't have cancelled it.Since the buyer hasn't paid yet, when he contacted you about sending it to another address you should have just said you could do that as long as he entered that address as the shipping address when he paid. Sellers have to send the package to the address used at the time of payment in order to have protection for an item not received. They do not have to send it to the buyer's ebay or paypal address.
