Buyer wants to return item. I agreed for return. I shipped Item from Canada to the UK. Shipped via Canada Post. How do I create and send a label for international return from here? I know the package weighed 6 lbs in the box I shipped it in. Help, Please!

Why does the buyer want to return the item?

As far as I know you can't purchase a label in a different country.......i.e. from UK to Canada, have to send the $$ directly to the buyer........

He claims there is a scuff mark that was not clear in the pictures. Anyway, it doesn't matter because I have decided to accept the "Item not as described" return. I am just not sure if it is ok to check "Confirm you can't send a label.. because I can't buy a label f om a carrier in buyer's country". Also, how do I ensure the buyer does not send it by the most expensive shipping option?

Thanks. So, should I just click on the "can't purchase label in buyers country" option? And hope for the best?

Well once you choose that option, eBay is gonna tell the buyer to contact you to make arrangements to return. They may be willing to pay upfront under the promise of being reimbursed by you but they can also ask eBay to step in after a couple days and you’ll have to figure out how to pay for return shipping upfront (most likely you have to PayPal them the money and give eBay the transaction ID) or they will force you to refund and the buyer keeps the item.

Ebay wants proof that I reimbursed the buyer for return shipping, in the form of a receipt or a message. Can I just send him his stated amount by PayPal and post those transaction details?

This is exactly what I don't want. It is an expensive book.
i will message the buyer asking for return postage amount, and send him that amount through PayPal. Just hope he responds quick enough!

Update: I accepted return and checked the option that says I can't purchase label in buyer's country. Buyer said he would pay the shipping and upload a receipt. I guess I have to reimburse him by PayPal once he does so. And once I get the book back, I refund him fully.

That’s great news! When you get the item back, you can just use PayPal’s send money to reimburse the return shipping cost.

OK.. and here I was going to reimburse the return shipping amount once I got the receipt for shipping from the buyer. Will do a full refund plus return postage once I get the item back.
i am just not thinking straight today!

I have a bad feeling about this.

uh oh! What else did I do wrong, you think?

Yes, you can. Do it. I suggest quoting a maximum rate up front -- or you can go to the UK postal site to locate an approximate cost.

You didn't do anything else wrong.
I just see a rock in your future.
