Help with an order that has a tracking number not sent out

I sold an item, went to send it, got the label from eBay but was not printed right away. This was over Memorial Day weekend so it slow down my shipping time. Went to ship it on Tues the label says it already shipped the day it was bought!

I bought the shipping label that day but it was not shipped that day. The customer is expecting it sooner than it will get there. Should I just let the. Know this? Or let EBay deal with it?

That’s the way it works. If the customer does not contact you about it, I would do nothing. As long as it is received within the estimated delivery dates they were shown when they ordered, you’ll be fine.

@pinkwings  in addition to what @jonathanbrightlight  posted, USPS will update the expected delivery date as the package moves thru the system. ebay will go by the USPS date if it is later than the date shown on the order.

once we purchase the shipping label, it will show as shipped. if u r sending it at a later date, u can change the date on the shipping label page, but it will still show as shipped, even if u r not mailing it for a few days ahead.

if u feel u should explain to the customer, just remind them that USPS was closed yesterday.
