How should I respond to this buyer claiming that I (seller) am responsible for a package missing from her front steps. 3 feedback buyer has not opened a case just messaging me through Ebay. USPS tracking states that the package was delivered to her porch/front door. Buyer messages me saying the package was not there and what to do about it. I messaged her back (nicely) to check with family members and neighbors, talk to her mail carrier, and also talk to her Postmaster so they can check the GPS of the delivery. Here is her reply:
"That was a lot of writing and steps to go thru... first I don’t know anyone around here I just moved in a couple months ago ... secondly only me and my two kids live here not a household of ppl ... I don’t know my mail person personally but I’ve seen several ppl deliver b4 ... lastly I would think this was ur job not mine ... had I known my package would be left in the porch I wlda advised to just leave at post office and I would pick up ... I know what kind of area I live in which is why I’m not fina go knocking on strangers doors asking them anything ... I just spent 50 bucks on a toy from your site I expect you to resolve my issue with the post office or whomever because I have two special need kids and a job I don’t have time to do all that ... I ordered online to make my life easier not harder..."
How do I proceed? I feel a Neg coming my way for something out of my control.

I have a job and a special needs kid, you can use me when you write her back. Hey, I know someone on ebay with a job and a special needs kid and they say check with the PO.

Sounds like this buyer is fishing for a refund from a fairly new seller. BLOCK.....

Right, sorry her children have disabilities, but it is irrelevant information.

I would let her know that "fina" is a madeup word. Kidding of course, but that kind of thing irks me...
Anyway, none of this is your problem, I would not respond to anything anymore if you've already explained what she needs to do to find out about her package. The laziness and incompetence of ignorant buyers is not our problem as honest sellers.

You should be able to call the buyer's PO and talk to the Postmaster
I have gone in and talked with my Postmaster and they have called the buyer's Postmaster and gotten things straightened out for me. I find them fraudsters, they enjoy seeing me ask for them.
And I have seen that the only disability some kids with 'disabilities' have are their parents who use a sick kid excuse to scam. Some don't even have kids.

Fina - misspelling of the word finna
Finna - urban derivative of the term fixing to
Fixing to - Southern slang for about to. Proper Southern pronounciation is "fixin' tuh"

If it was insured, either file the claim within the claim window, or provide the buyer with your proof of shipping so she can do so.

There is no claim on a delivered package. It's a non-starter.

False. USPS misdelivers on occasion. It's only a non-starter if the seller is.

I find it strange that a buyer with a special needs child who lives in a bad neighborhood could afford to buy a $50 toy on ebay - unless she was trying to get it for free by claiming she didn't receive it.

USPS will pay a claim on a lost package even it it shows delivered
