My item sold within an hour of being listed, but I question the shipping address. Is this legit? Anyone have this same type of address. Buyer has only 24 reviews. I tries to read past threads but they are closed. Thanks for any insight! Googled address comes up as an industrial distribution building at Portland International Airport.

Yes, it's a real address.
The letters above the City is the buyers ID for the freight forwarder, so they know who the package is for.

Your buyer is most likely overseas, & uses a freight forwarder to ship the items to them from the USA. I've never had a problem with freight forwarders, but others have, particularly with expensive electronics.

From what I could find, it's a DHL Freight Forwarder.
Those strange letters are probably registered to the buyers name and where to forward.

Not a scam.
Not fraud.
A legitimate shipping address of a freight forwarder.

Not electronics but it is a expensive piece of jewelry. Do you think it's safe to ship? I will wait till payment is totally cleared but still feel uncomfortable. Thank you for the responses!

I just sold a brooch that is going to the exact address you posted. I bet it's the same person because it is the same group of letters. Yesterday the brooch sold to someone in China. I don't ship internationally at all because I was burned through GPS and DHL in the past. So I canceled the sale. So today I get the same brooch being sold to a different ebay account, this time going to this Portland Or address which is a DHL shipper. I am not sure I want to go through with the sale because its first class and unlikely to get there. Not super expensive brooch but still.....

I sell jewelry ONLY and quite a few of my buyers are from outside the United States. They pay good money for things and I am grateful for their business. I too was a bit hesitant at first when I saw these third party forwarding companies, but, it is considered DELIVERED when it arrives there. What happens after that is not on you, but, rather on the freight company they chose. So, when it shows "delivered" on your tracking, you are in the clear.
That said... 99% of the time, things go smoothly. However, I had TWO problems. In both cases, the USPS did NOT scan the delivery to the Freight Forwarder address so tracking showed it was perpetually 'in transit." Those 2 items got "lost" and I had to refund the buyers. As I said, they were low-end items, like $30 bucks or something and it was the USPS that lost the items or failed to scan the delivery of the items to the address when they delivered it.
All in all, I trust them, and I think they are worth taking the chance. If you have a high-priced item, INSURE IT!

I am not sure that once it arrives at the freight address that is the end of it because twice I used Ebays GSP and both times the items arrived at the GSP and got shipped out but were lost somewhere by DHL and both times I had to refund the buyer and had no recourse with ebay or DHL for recovering that money. After that I said no more international shipping.

I only had to refund my buyers for the ones that were NOT scanned as "delivered" to the ADDRESS ON FILE that came from EBAY. That happened twice, and not an eBay thing, but, a USPS issue because they did deliver it to the forwarding company address the buyer gave me-- but the carrier did not scan it, so, it did not say "delivered." I believe that if the Freight forwarder is at fault and does not do their job AFTER it is delivered there-- then, you are not responsible for that. That is my understanding. Can anyone find this out? It has been my experience thus far.

This is on the ebay Money Back Guarantee page:

I find it ironic that the GSP is nothing more than an eBay glorified FF that is contracted out but the same policies that apply to all other FF"s do not apply to the eBay GSP. Their policy with regards to other FF's provides better seller protection than their own GSP provides. I am seriously considering removing the GSP as an option for international shipping.

As others noted the address is legitimate. If you are curious about where the buyer actually resides you can simply look at their eBay registered address in their profile.
