It always stings a bit to get that first negative but there is no reason to remove this comment. Buyers are allowed to express their opinion, and that is what this is. FB can only be removed if it violates policy which this comment doesn't in any way. Besides a neutral doesn't affect your selling account so best to just ignore it. Concentrate on selling and this will fall to your second page where no one will see it. Best of luck to you....

Re: Help Remove False Feedback

dont worry about that neutral. nobody is gonna worry about that when buying from you. your feedback is  OUTSTANDING. you just happened to get  the kind of buyer that all sellers dread. you couldnt make them happy even if you gave them the item for free. they would probably gripe i f they even got free shipping with it. some people are just like slinkies

Re: Help Remove False Feedback

The same thing happened to me.  I sold a Tiffany bracelet.  I had the matching necklace and I sold it last year.  The buyer was happy.  I had both the necklace and bracelet appraised.  I sold the bracelet in November.  The buyer said it was fake and demanded a refund.  I decided it was remorse.  He sent the bracelet back and I immediately issued him a refund.  He gave me a negative feedback.  Ebay refused to take it off.  I have had 100% FB and now I have 87.5%.  Starting in January I have listed 10 items of jewelry and have had not one bid.  This is so unfair.  I am seriously thinking of quitting Ebay

Re: Help Remove False Feedback

FREEDOM OF SPEECH   No different than you leave a restaurant (just opinion and does not have to be proven).

Buyer can say anything they want when leaving feedback.    You can leave "rebuttal feedback" but I would keep it polite and factual.   One of the things that is a "real turnoff" to other potential Buyers is when you bash the customer.

Re: Help Remove False Feedback

OMG what were you thinking when you left that follow up comment? Did you think the buyer would read it and remove the neutral?

The best thing to do would have been to leave no follow up, but if you had to (I've been guilty of that) I would have said something like...

"Item 100% authentic. If unhappy please return for a full refund."

Dont worry about it. Your feedback is excellent. I would have no hesitation buying from you.

Re: Help Remove False Feedback

I don't think the reply you left would tempt the buyer to agree to feedback revision, and the feedback doesn't qualify to be removed by ebay, but you could try..

However, ebay will definitely remove the feedback you left the buyer if it's reported, because it's a violation of ebays feedback policy.

Re: Help Remove False Feedback

This always burns me too when buyers lie.  One thing you can do is respond to the feedback which shows you are involved and are serious about your business.

https://pages.ebay.com/services/forum/feedback.html

Go there and then under Feedback Tools on the right click "Reply to Feedback Received".

Then you can respond to any feedback received.

Good Luck!

Re: Help Remove False Feedback

I just got my first neutral feedback in years and it was 100% balderdash.  But I just ignore such trivialities and move on.  That one neutral will have no impact on our sales.

But I should add that my neutral was left by a buyer who asked several questions which once again highlights my selling experience over two decades that buyers who ask too many questions represent almost 100% of buyers of buyers who create issues after the sale.  In a message I even attempted to persuade this buyer not to make the purchase if in the slightest doubt.

Re: Help Remove False Feedback

Put a reply under it for people checking.  In a year it won't show in the chart, but yours says 100%,so I doubt anyone would care about 1 neutral.   Sometimes negs just disappear too.

eBay does not remove feedback just because the seller says it is false.

And there is absolutely nothing in the feedback removal policy that suggests they will.

Re: Help Remove False Feedback

Leaving an answer to feedback can be tricky, as it can be the most important real estate on eBay. The seller's follow-up comment speaks to the primary soul that matters, the prospective buyer. The person who left the feedback  won't be moved to do anything (except to get the last word by leaving a final comment under the seller's). Warnings to other sellers are an ineffective use of space. Sellers don't normally read or evaluate feedback left by other sellers in the follow-up spot. So that does nothing to further a seller's influence. No, the target audience that has the greatest impact on sales is the buyer-to-be doing his due diligence by checking feedback.

So if a seller gets it wrong and leaves an unfortunate remark, the battle for the buyer's business can be lost in one fell swoop. If that shopper reads a comment that is blaming, defensive, angry, name-calling, or the like, it can actually take a mild feedback and make it infinitely worse. When done well, conversely, the follow-up response can utterly negate the negative rating. Showing one's communication skills, customer service outlook, concern for the buyer, these all elevate the seller in the shopper's view.

So, when leaving a follow-up comment, be aware of who is being reached. Just making the comment calls more attention to a feedback. That's all some buyers bother read. They want to see how the seller responds to a problem. And a neutral rating sometimes makes no impact at all. Shoppers know if the situation was acute, the existing buyer would leave a negative, not a neutral.
