Help Identifying Match Holder Emblem

Hello, Can anyone help me identify this hotel/ship ?? emblem.  It is on a ceramic match holder which was created by Scammells Lamberton China.  The emblem appears to be a phoenix on top of a crown with a 3 star shield underneath. Thanks for looking!!! Susan .

Not familiar with that particular logo, but I can tell you that the 3 star shield is the DC state flag, so there's a starting point for you!

There are sites which have logos that you can search.  And couldn't the bird be a swan?

This is a family’s heraldic bearings rather than a logo. I would venture to say it is a familial crest and coat of arms.
