Help - 18 years old power seller, ebay is holding all the payments 200 and up

I've tried calling customer service and they've done nothing to help me out with this problem. An philosophizing agent started scolding me explaining that ebay is loosing millions of dollars to fraud... 

Every each payment 200 dollars and up is help by eBay for up to 30 days. Even after items are received, the payment is still held. 

I struggle to retrieve this money in order for me to reinvest . I don't understand why this is happening with my tenured account. 

what can i make this stop, are there solutions? Stop selling for a while to break god knows what filters that are being triggered?

I did and the existent information has left me in the dar explaining why "ALL THE PAYMENTS" 200 and up (one after another) are placed on hold.... not just "sometimes" .   Yes i had 2 cases of not received both caused by Postal delays in foreign countries but were received eventually. Why should i be considered "suspicious" since dozens of other transactions have reached out in time?  My dashboard review says ," above average" .

Ebay is only losing millions in potential revenue to fraud.  It is the sellers who are losing real revenue.

I don't recommend stopping. You'll end up starting the "new seller" clock all over again.

I decided to quit selling items over 200 dollars in value , eBay is still holding 1,400 dollars since 3 weeks ago. 

Instead i'll list those 200 and up on Etsy ... it's sad but this is what eBay is driving sellers doing...

I can see them holding funds for the Baltic Amber Necklace.  They said payments over $1,000 can be held. For the other items that cost over $200,  I haven't  seen anything to indicate payments over $200 can be held. Contact eBay on Facebook or Twitter. The phone reps tell you anything to get you off the phone.

You should be Top Rated as this point; over $1000 in sales in 12 mo's etc. What does your 'seller dashboard' say is holding you back (being only Above Avg. is probably the reason). 2 'refunds' due to 'not received' would only be an issue if you didn't have tracking, which I assume you had. Did you answer the 'refund messages' from ebay and input the tracking number when asked?

Yes to all, always uploading tracking in the system. For many of the transactions held I even used the ebay shipping system which by the way it charges above 20 % over than what Canada post is charging if I sign up with.my small business account.

Since you are in Canada, you might try posting to the dotCA boards.

Are you using Tangerine or Simplii? Or are you with one of the Big Six?  This may be another Managed Payments glitch. Sigh.

You need actual eBay employees not the subcontracted phone clerks.

Be sure to tell them you are in Canada. Our circumstances are quite different from our southern neighbours.

It's definitely that 77% on time tracking/validate.

Are you taking packages to the post office within your handling time? and are they being scanned in?

You're in Canada, correct?

I would be very selective on what countries you're willing to ship to. Use eBay Global shipping. Add signature required if needed. Review your buyer's status / feedback. 

I did receive a message from eBay about getting funds faster for a fee. REALLY? I have seen slow payouts in the past 3 weeks, but I thought all sellers and buyers are to be confirmed with their eBay registration that requires SSN, payment options before selling or buying on eBay?

I should not have to pay to get paid!

Payments can be held for a lot of reasons; Manly it protects eBay.

Holds can also be triggered by the buyer by the way.

Triggers are selling a lot of high value items. there seems to be a trigger at a grand etc.

If you have any claims of not as described, or returns, or items not received.

Have you yet been asked for more info to verify your account, or tracking numbers for your sales: or receipts for your items being sold?

Part of this mess is the anti laundering rules and regs. Such is also agreed to allow you to be investigated as well by using manged payments.

If it is so far just a hold you may be Ok. Time will tell.  Hope this works out for you.

i do not know why i got 77.5% on tracking uploaded and validated. I have noticed that some tracking numbers to international destinations don't show up trackable in the ebay's system. Furthermore the ebay's picture scanning system for Canadian shipments, would add a weird number formed by twice as many letters than the tracking has, i suspect this is a bug that eBay should fix.

i am thinking that some of the reasons could be the fact i alternate two addresses between USA (my brother in law) and Canada (my address) . Since some USA sellers don't ship to Canada, i'll change this address in the system prior to a purchase. Sometimes the address stays when I also create a listing. 

Maybe I am triggering some sort of securities, this way ?
