Headache with New system of Payment and new policys

This new Ebay system of payment and policy is more in favor of buyers than the seller like buyer 80% seller 20%.

Each sell is a headache and buyers are exploiting the flaws to get the money back and seller pays the fees and loses money.

The old Ebay was more easier than now, although we payed fees for PayPal it was more secure, now I feel like a exploited worker and working more minutes for each sell than before.

I have my on website to sell, and is so far easier. Ebay just haves name and money to make ads everywhere and that is what makes the traffic flow to them.

This new method is far from the old one, and is causing a lot of headache for that I am going to vacation mode and if my issues with this system go on I going to close my account and bye bye another seller.

It appears the only headache is you. With that feedback it's a miracle you have not been suspended. And....Paypal was no more secure than Ayden.

Headache with New system of Payment and new policys

I am running into a new problem with eBay. In the last 2 weeks, I have had two buyers who returned items. I have no problem with that, except that instead of contacting me to rectify the issues (They didn't fit even though I had posted exact measurements) they went directly to eBay and filed a request which is against eBay's posted policy. EBay immediately processed a refund from my account and THEN sent me a notification that my funds were tied up until the refund was received by the buyer. The first buyer was told she could keep the $90 pair of shorts according to my return "rules". So they returned the money and gave away my property before I was even notified of the potential return.  Luckily, the buyer was a decent person and returned the item, but only after I contacted her directly. EBay customer service did NOTHING to help and only sent me on wild goose chases and loops through their automated system. So today, it happened again! I got a message that a return had been granted from my account, my funds were held up. I haven't yet found that they gave my stuff away, but neither did I see anything asking the buyer to return the item after refunding MY money. The amounts eBay and USPS charges us is so high that it is difficult to glean a profit when you figure in the actual costs of shipping. It's more than they tell you. I also see that eBay keeps their fee even after the refund. I am seriously becoming disheartened with eBay. I had taken some time off after they restricted my account after they messed up some sales. I was hoping they were better.  I am new to the forum, and being late to the game, I wonder if the subject of 2021 fee charges has been made clear to most of the sellers. Most of the ones I run into are seriously unaware of the level of charges going on.  A rep on eBay told me recently that they charge 12.55% +$.30 /transaction fee on the TOTAL SALE which includes sell price+ shipping cost+ sales tax. So when you sell an item that weighs 12 oz.. the 5.28 cost is really $6.24. Now if you charge more for the shipping to compensate, there is a fee on that too. The reasoning behind it is sound, If you had a $100 item, you would sell it for $1 with $99 shipping to avoid the fees. So eBay has to protect itself. They just need to be more honest about it, perhaps tutoring us on how to reduce costs so that some of us could stay in the business.
