I've started getting notifications to finish my drafts. I usually ignore them, but I actually read the one I just received. It said I had 2 days to finish my draft before it would be gone. It went on to tell me to list faster with help from ebay.ai.
I only have a couple drafts not completed and the oldest one is dated November 22nd. Has the time been shortened to five days? Did I miss the announcement? tks

@fern*wood Wow! I hope not! I have about 30 drafts saved and keep updating some to keep the 75 day limit intact

Oh I forgot about the expiration date (mine was scrolled off my screen). I looked and they don't expire until February, so why the annoying hurry up messages with a 2 day threat? I don't need more stress in my life.😐

I got one of those reminder emails and I don't remember ever getting one before.
I'm still looking for the perfect box, because fragile, collectible, worth a couple hundred dollars. Not going to scrimp on the box just to get it listed and then have it sell quickly (it will only do that if I don't have the perfect box).
I didn't pay attention to an expiration date, but now you have me curious.
I looked. Expiry date is in February. "Feb 2 69d away"

"It said I had 2 days to finish my draft before it would be gone. It went on to tell me to list faster with help from ebay.ai."
This is due to an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period, which has caused misinformation to be sent out to sellers.

Just another thing that eBay thinks will be helpful.
You finish draft, list, sell, eBay makes money😂

Interesting - can you post a screenshot of that 2 days message along with a screenshot of your drafts page showing the real expiration @fern*wood ?
I've been getting those "finish your draft" notices for a while and so far none have noted an expiration date. They're super annoying. They do sometimes prompt action on my part: I go in and delete the drafts causing the annoying prompts. 😂
Sometimes I'll have a real draft because I need to re-check a measurement or have to re-take a photo or something, but for the most part my drafts are created to help people here (check errors, grab screenshots, check category-specific options, etc).

It was a notification on my iPad and I just swiped it away. I don’t know how to find it again. I never get them on my desk top and when I look under notifications, it says I’m all caught up.

You got me curious about an expiration date in the eBay messages notification that I deleted earlier today.
The strangest thing - it's nowhere to be found now.
It's not in "Deleted", though a $15 off to boost my listings from yesterday is there. There are even deleted items from an entire year ago still in there, but not the one about the draft that came in yesterday and I deleted this morning.
Also not in archived.
Just poof. Gone.

Edit: I just found it in "From eBay" (what the bleep? I deleted it. Why is it not in deleted?)
I don't see an expiry date, but I'll take a screenshot if you want one.

Mine wasn’t a message. I get them as notifications and I can’t find where they are stored.

There is a REAL push from eBay to launch as many of their AI programming assistants as possible in an effort to gain more control over a Seller's items and account. I see it on the new eBay message about items that haven't sold in 90 days ... while my first reaction is, "well eBay, if you would stop burying my items in your manipulative Search algorithm we wouldn't be having this pleasant conversation!" I refrain from replying with that LOL! When the messages first started they were showing about 4 items and half would have the suggestion to use AI for a better Description. The last two they suggest that on ALL FOUR listings.
If the message about completing drafts is coming through via email I don't see those, intentionally. If they come through on an eBay message I would see them but I seldom have listings in the Draft file for very long. I might create 10 or so drafts but then use the Scheduler to set up WHEN they will go live. The Scheduler allows you to go out 21-22 days. It also allows you to do a Sell Similar listing which would wind up back in your Draft file ... so if you think about that you could "float" a listing for quite some time between the Draft file, Scheduler and Sell Similar features (making sure you delete the Scheduled version after using Sell Similar to create a new one for the Draft file).

Got it @fern*wood - it was an app push notification, not an eBay message. If you see it again, please take screens for me. 🙂
