Has anyone seen this message in tracking?

ALERT MID USER NEEDS TO BE REGISTERED

The item is in Portland now...USPS.  What could this possibly mean?

I looked through the tracking for a bunch of my packages and it seems that every stop on the way takes 3 days to get through.  Or more... some are stuck in NJ and some in Florida.  And now Fontana CA.  I feel for all you sellers at Christmas if it's such a mess now.

In Hickory Hills, Illinois by a mega seller.  Looked at the listing and now it says sold out.  Arghhhh.

And this item was supposedly shipped from within the U S.  But now I have my doubts.
