I haven't had any sales since the new sales tax has started. Anyone experience this loss too?

I just sold a item that got taxed over the weekend so no. I would think most buyers in those states would already know and it kind of will be like something they can not change especially if the item is not locally available.

At this time the sales tax on internet sales only applies in about a handful of states.
Here is a link from eBay https://community.ebay.com/t5/Announcements/UPDATE-Ongoing-Changes-in-How-Internet-Sales-Tax-May-Imp...
No doubt other states join the movement as a new found revenue stream is always welcomed by folks elected to "spend, spend, spend" whether it benefits their a significant portion of their constituents or just their friends at the country club.
No doubt eBay sales will be affected by the tax(s) as the gap between on line sales price vs retail stores pricing closes by approx 7% or more -some states collect, city, county & states. My SWAG believe that sales of new stuff that can be found on the shelves & racks at your local brick & mortar store will be affected the most and reasonably priced used, in good or better condition pre-owned stuff affected the least.
Add to the sales tax issue the recent (Dec & January) significant price increases shipping costs by all shippers impact all US sellers - prices and/or profit margin.
eBay need to get creative and off "something" that communicates that buying on line from eBay is a real benefit to vs consumer vs buying from a B & M or other on line venues and need to appreciate & respect their best customers better - the eBay seller. Right now they seem to approach the market with a "me too" tactics - lower price, free return for all, etc. eBay was once the top dog in the game but was quickly surpassed. And other new venues have come along a took a bite out of the eBay pie - heck even Goodwill has on-line sales and all their inventory cost them zero.
Who would have thought Dollar Tree & Dollar General would take a bite out of mega Wal-Mart sales/profit but they did/do.
History has taught us when you are king of the hill all the competitors will be shooting at you - gotta' stay sharp and head of the game to stay #1 - 'cause when you are #1 you only can move to a postion of lesser stature. Ask General Motors.

California sellers are forced by the state to add sales tax to their sales. My sales have dropped 53% since April 1, 2019 when the sales tax started.

Yes, our sales are indeed down significantly in April so far. I think it's probably a combination of a lot of things. The sales taxes may be partly to blame but I'm believing the main culprit in our case is the new GTC policy. I truly believe it's really negatively impacting our business. Mostly of our sales this month have been auctions and we normally have a 200 fixed price sales per month. Most of Ebay's recent changes have made it more and more difficult for sellers. As another seller mentioned the huge increase in postal rates in January was a real killer too. Ebay's leadership needs to come up with creative solutions to help sellers but seems like they would rather just add more and more fees and restrictions. It's very sad.

Anyone that has to pay taxes on April 15 probably are being C with discretionary buying right now, HS graduation, proms, spring break binges that are funded by Mom & Dad are all over and tax refunds should be lower as less taxes were taken out and that "extra" money is probably like the name of that big fat paper back book by Margaret Mitchell. It was required reading last semester of our Senior Theme Writing course way back in '63. a TCHS. Teacher Mr. Baut. I later thanked him in '67.
Little did I know that exercise was a real live sample "basic training" exercise of what I had to read weekly in Henry Hall Rm. #429 for 4 courses + a real PE class a.k.a. (stinking jock strap time) - 140 miles away from home & loving it. Life was Good Then Too - talked to my top shelf HH friends often - as late as today - trade stupid jokes & other men only stuff, among the 12 of us - we pump fists when we can - nice!

I had one person ask me if I'd reduce the price buy the tax charged and politely informed them that the price is the price regardless of tax.

No loss of sales from the "sales tax", but my sales have definitely FLAT LINED since the GTC change.

I don't think it's helped but I've noticed a difference in my sales since the new zone based shipping went into effect in January.

My sales have gone flat since the sales tax started. eBay charges 10.25% sales tax for my sales. I offer very competitive prices even after I combine the cost of item and the shipping cost. My sales have died anyway.
Where I live the sales tax is 9.5%. I don't know why eBay charges more then 9.5%.
