Sales have been down since after the holidays.   I'd guess it's due to the continued inflation, raise in interest rates and general uncertainty of the economic future.

I've managed to still get some sales by lowering opening bids on items.   Not sure if that will work for you.

Best of luck in future sales.

@mr.emk

I blame it on how search NOW works (sung over a chorus of Blame it the Rain. Only because random drops of sales could be considered as annoying as that song. Apologies to all the mega fans of Milli Vanilli!!

Back to your un lip sync'd programming.

Search has actually been pretty borked up in the last week with auto-correct problems, replicate search returns, etc.

@chapeau-noir

By "borked up" do you mean attacked by a muppet Swedish chef? Sorry. Had to ask. Words I have learned since signing up for eBay. Automagically, work around, cover of night feature change and now borked up. I'm probably missing a bunch!! Who knew I would learn a new language being on eBay??

Ups and downs.    Amazon is laying off another 9,000 tech employees.

You can say what you want about the positive and negatives of Amazons marketplace platform.

But one thing is for sure, on the technical side, their site actually works, and the API is a pleasure to work with in comparison to the eBay API.

eBay obviously NEEDS more tech employees and/or not to outsource so much of it, as they aren't even following the rules you learn in day 1.

Some very helpful posts here!  Thanks to all who are displaying the courage to publicly call out eBay for "turning off" accounts (or whatever terms the rockstar set here prefers.)

This crap has got to stop.  I doubt it's a glitch.  Could it be the Chicom social credit score already being phased in...?  If so, I KNOW I will fail that mammothly.

Not referring to Zamo-Zuan and the other occasionally open-minded and helpful rockstars and superstars.

@lotzofuniquegoodies  It's old timey IT language lol and yes, being attacked by a muppet Swedish chef is probably as good a definition as any!

General post:  Both of the problems, incidentally, are hardly unique to eBay - that mad Swedish muppet chef was let loose on Poshmark when they attempted to change the search for some unknown reason, and Etsy was infuriating with the forced autocorrect.  Honestly, it's like these marketplace search teams all call each other up in the morning to decide what to wear.

Hell is empty. And all the devils are here.

@chapeau-noir

Thanks for the clarification. At times it feels like a never ending day of this (1:35) on eBay:

Re: Has anyone else had a huge drop in sales over the last week?

eBay has been hiding listings, throttling sales and simply removing listings from search so that nothing sells.

Good point.

EBay is obviously trying to reduce sales so that they make no money and can go bankrupt.

Sound business strategy.”

Is Ebay doing that to tame inflation so fed doesn’t raise rates?
