What is an acceptable handling fee? Is $1 acceptable? I figure for a box and bubble wrap that would ok. Thoughts.

My handling fee is rolled in to my item price and/or my shipping charge.

In my opinion this is the way to do it.

If you use calculated shipping and don't share the ebay discount then you won't need to charge a handling charge.

the only problem with this is on heavier items the difference is much more than I would like it to be.

Well yes and no.  Depends on the discount difference and if it will cover your shipping supplies and FVFs on the shipping.  Usually it doesn't.

If $1 works for you, then use it. Just remember that it will be included in the amount collected from your customer so your fvf will go up slightly too.
