Did you mean:

HTML shows beneath my intended description text; deleting during revision doesn't remove it.

Revising on a windows10 desktop using firefox quantum:

For listing #s 282812757538 & 282802000626 attempts to revise and delete (or 'cut' ) the html FAIL.

It returns after the revision.

ODDLY, for listings 282803146447 & 282778527039 I successfully used "cut" to remove it.

AND, listings 282791251320, 282788936794 are ok. I don't remember if I had to delete html or not.

How can I avoid this PROBLEM and CHORE?

You are using Lastpass, probably the browser plugin, probably an outdated broken version, and it does that.

Disable Lastpass plugin and try again, and then update Lastpass (that was an issue a year or so ago so you may be using a seriously outdated version)

Berserkerplanet:
When I had the problem I also had the latest version of lastpass 4.2.3, built Dec 04 and automatically updated on Dec 05.

Thanks, Jim

I am wondering if, as an experiment, that if you used this

Active Content Scanner for eBay Listings

-even though it's for finding active content problems, it shows all of a users listings.

The two listings of yours that are showing the script, show no problems, but there is a revise button to the right of the listing number. I was just wondering what you could do using this to cut the offending text from the listing, and if for some reason the fix would stick. ?

Re: HTML shows beneath my intended description text; deleting during revision doesn't remove it.

Lastpass is what injected the HTML into the listings, and the problem, at least when users were having it a while back with a broken version, was that it kept re-injecting it every time the listing was revised or edited.

That sure sounds like what's happening here.

OP: disable the LastPass browser plugin (or Lastpass entirely) and try to revise again and see what happens.
