On 6/17 we got a neg for 'canceling a sale' ten days earlier that wasn't canceled and had been delivered the day before.

Was gonna check their feedback left to try to figure out who got ours but FB was private.

Contacted them that day and pointed out sale wasn't canceled and item was delivered yesterday. Requested a 'Feedback revision'

We got their replied today - "sorry"

Did you send the Feedback Revision request before hearing back from them? That's risky. We always make sure they're willing to revise before sending that request, since you have a limited number and don't want them to be wasted if the customer isn't willing.

Unless it's showing up as older, though, it does appear they revised it, so hopefully it worked out!

"Sorry", they made a mistake and are going to fill out a feedback revision? or....Sorry, they have no interest in correcting their mistake with a revision?

You may be able to get it removed, but nothing is a sure thing anymore.

The revision request is good for 10 days, so if you sent it soon after receiving the neg on 6/17, it's too late to do anything with that. But if you can't get eBay to remove it, you still have the option to leave a followup comment explaining what happened.

You should be able to make a strong case for removal by showing the evidence of Delivery vs the buyer's comment about the transaction being cancelled.

When you say you requested a feedback revision, did you actually send the formal request to your buyer? I know it's only available for a limited amount of time & your neg is getting old so it may now be too late.

It doesn't show up if you leave the feedback display at the awful new default of "Most relevant," but if you sort by "Most recent," the third entry is a neg referring to cancellation from a buyer with private feedback.

It's showing up as "Past 6 months" and the OP said they received the neg on 6/17 and sent the revision request right away, so it looks like the 10-day window for responding to the revision request has long since expired.

Off topic from the original post, but I've noticed ebay rarely considers a recent negative as most relevant. weird They are almost always buried now.

Never sent one so that path timed out long ago. As long as we don't have to go to any of those off site places that we will never go to, will look into contacting ebay

You can file a feedback revision request up to 30 days from the date that the neg was left, so if the neg was left on June 17, then that path timed out about 2 days ago.
