Did you mean:

Got a negative for what exactly?

Sent exact item which the person ordered.

They will not be sending me the item back as they filed an unauthorized use of their credit card through paypal.  I have proof of delivery to the exact address so I will be winning that through seller protection.  Would it be possible to get the negative removed?  I mean if they filed an unauthorized use, someone else used their credit card.

I put a request in to have the feedback removed as they never bought the item to begin with and that someone used their credit card illegally.  If they never had the item, to begin with, they shouldn't be able to leave a negative as they were not the buyer.  It would set bad precedence if a non buyer could leave feedback.

I'm not sure what you mean by you put in a request to have the FB removed.  Do you mean you sent in an email and requested it be removed?

Ebay can tell if the account was recently changed or had a new address added or changed.  All you need to do is call Ebay and talk with someone.  tyler@ebay  did try to help earlier in the thread with information he found.

Have you communicated directly with your customer?

I will try to get a US rep tomorrow.  This would set a bad example if Ebay let's it stick as the buyer flat out lied and I can prove it.  Either they got the item and lied to PayPal or the lied on the neg and are telling the truth in PayPal.  If it sticks a person could potentially lie about something, give someone a neg and go to PayPal, dispute the charge and walk away.  On that note what should I respond to the neg with?

Responding to feedback now may make it harder to remove later, or so I have heard.

Yes, that has been said, but it's not impossible.

Re: Got a negative for what exactly?

They did not file a chargeback. They filed a fraud use of their credit card.  They said they never bought the thing to begin with through Ebay.  They never opened a request for refund.  They went straight to the credit card company and filed an illegal use of their card.  While it might be considered a chargeback they are alleging a crime.  They never bought the item, someone else did and they blamed me.

On to of that they got exactly whatever whomever ordered.

It is another one of those things that has been repeated so many times on the board that it has become fact.  It is not true.

Re: Got a negative for what exactly?

"how could a legitimate feedback read as that one did?"

I agree with you CC but it`s never been a requirement that feedback has to be "legitimate".

Re: Got a negative for what exactly?

Since the non buyer has declined my feedback revision I will wait until PayPal decides to see if I can get the feedback removed.  They have also refused to communicate.

Since they claim it was a illegal transaction I feel it is my duty to file mail fraud in the US as well as in Australia.  Seems they take internet fraud there kind of serious and I feel it is my duty as a concerned citizen to report this to the proper authorities including the house the item went to.

I will continue to fight the good fight.

For a feedback comment

Fraud use of credit card to buy item.  Buyer was not real buyer.

Or something like that?

Re: Got a negative for what exactly?

if case is in your favor than yes, feedback can be removed but to remove feedback i will suggest you to reach appeal department instead of feedback department, its my personal experience, there are scammers everywhere so best thing you can do is to save yourself in smart way, win is not always the option but you can fight for your right and see whats comes up, i have won 25 hard cases from scammers, so i can understand your pain. what i will highly suggest you to always check your paypal account even after case is close to see if money is still there.

scammers are very smart now days , try communicate with buyer to solve the issue , your message communication is a ways that ebay see when its comes to investigation. that is main key .

Hope its help !

Re: Got a negative for what exactly?

Buyer is not responding.  I need to know if buyer was actual buyer or not.  They say they didnt buy it in PayPal but I cant assume.

Re: Got a negative for what exactly?

We have a buyer who in an answer states he didn't receive what he ordered, meaning he didn't like it. or whatever he meant to say.

The he files charge back because a unauthorized us of his or her CC.

Unless the scammer is not the same one saying he didn't get what he wanted, we are talking about a negative that wasn't earned.

I seem to recall a previous case involving auto parts, so I have confidence in you.

Good Luck.

Re: Got a negative for what exactly?

Yeah.  That was a fun run.  I just need the buyer or not buyer to let me know if someone else bought the item.

I think there is just a terminology misunderstand.

That is what is known here as a chargeback.  When you go to your CCC and file a dispute on a charge.  It is a chargeback.

A chargeback is not a claim filed for the return and/or refund of an item in the traditional sense.  Once that is filed with PP or Ebay.  A chargeback is ONLY filed by the buyer with their CCC.

So yes they are seeking a refund of the charge that has been put on their CC.

That was used illegally to fund the transaction.

Maybe yes, maybe no.  That is what the chargeback the buyer filed claims.  That doesn't mean it is true.  Sometimes it is as I say up thread somewhere.  Sometimes it is how the transaction appears on the CC transactions and they just don't recognize it.

Just prove the tracking.  That is all you need to do.  PP will protect you if you can prove the tracking to the proper address stated on the PP payment.

And as I said earlier, just contact Ebay and report that this buyer is reporting to you via PP chargeback that this was a fraudulent purchase.  Ebay can tell if info on the account was recently changed.  If it wasn't, then your buyer isn't telling the CCC or PP the truth.

Re: Got a negative for what exactly?

I'm almost positive they are making it up.  Just weird they didnt go through me first and they went straight into their credit card.
