After my worst year on e-bay I have decided to give up. Evidently I don't have the items people want to buy. I even tried them on marketplace and had no luck. Believe it or not some I offered for free. Even after two months, no interest was shown.
So I have decided to donate everything to Goodwill, or other places.
To all those who offered advice to a new seller, thanks a lot for helping me learn.
To everyone on here, I hope you have better luck than I did. Best wishes for the holiday season and next year.

Couldn't agree more. My dogs are spoiled rotten. I let them sleep on the bed. In winter time they keep me warm and I can lower the thermostat setting. Hope your dogs live a very long healthy life.

If you're donating to Goodwill chances are somebody else will breathe new life into your items and they will appear again on eBay.

Best of luck and health in your retirement. Don't slow down, stay away from the tube and snacks things, take your dog for long walks you and they will benefit keep your BP down. Hung up my spurs in 2007 after a 41 year career - haven't slowed down but I see my cardiologist & family doctor on a regular basis. Older age ain't for sissies - had by pass surgery 6 years ago and didn't know I had an issue.

people can only wisely do what they feel inclined to do, since it is god who decides what you feel inclined to do

Does that mean folks that are inclined to steal/rip off or harm others is fine and dandy?

Yeah, me too! I have been thinking about giving up for almost 5 years (ever since I retired). At this point, I think I am addicted to eBay lol.

depending on weather and time of year I take my dogs up to 10 walks a day, averaging 3/4 mile each time. Best exercise I can get other than mowing the grass. I retired 4 years ago and am in pretty good health. Stay healthy.

I totally understand as I am in the same postion after 24 years here (other ID). I am also downsizing, and retired teacher. Many of the items I have, and intend to list are brand new so hard to justify giving to Salvation Army or Good Will. So, I will stay as long as I am not paying some monthly fee to use eBay.
Soon, will come the day that I have to make this discussion to unload it all.
I wish you the best!
