Giving feedback to buyers has changed - WHY?

Why have they changed the Feedback page so that you can no longer see if the item has arrived? I wait to give feedback when I see that the buyer has received the item. Pleas advise how to go back to the old format.

For me, the seller hub "manage all orders" displays status of the tracking. (with a bit of a delay until eBay catches up with the fact that it has been "delivered")

I agree!!  This is a total pain as I wait as well to give the buyer a few days.  Its also a lot more clunky of a process then before and will start becoming a chore to give the feedback the buyers deserve.  Please return it to the way it was before.  Thanks

Of all the changes eBay has made recently, the complete destruction of the feedback system for sellers is the worst.  First they make it so a seller cannot even see the buyers they have left feedback for when we click on the "Feedback Left For Others," now when we click on "Leave Feedback" we can see nothing about the transaction other than the picture we used in the listing. We cannot click on the actual transaction to see who the buyer is, we cannot see how much they paid for the item or shipping, we cannot click on any "order details," we cannot see if the item arrived and when, and we cannot sort feedback if we want to leave feedback for just one buyer as the helpful feedback search box is now deleted.  This is so incomprehensibly pointless, unnecessary, illogical.  Why why why why would any of the designers of this new layout think this is a good idea?

Has no one who works in the tech design of eBay's feedback ever actually sold anything?  Ever actually had customers who buy several things at once, or many things over many days with multiple shipments?  Does anyone who works at eBay actually use eBay?

Also bad for buyers who cancel orders, use to be able to click on transaction, now you can't and I'm not leaving good feedback for buyers that canceled their orders.

Leaving later feedback will increase the number of returns and claims you get.  You are better off automating it to just leave feedback when the user pays. Buyer feedback is meaningless anyway.

 

The reason it increases returns and claims is because it reminds the purchaser of a transaction, if you remind enough people of a transaction then that will prompt some of them to then have a problem with that transaction.

 

I learned that when I was selling trading cards high volume. Literally every time I would go leave 1000 feedback at once I would suddenly have multiple issues crop up almost instantly.

Instead of looking at the Feedback Left For Others screen, use the Manage Shipped Orders Awaiting Your Feedback screen.

100% agree with cinema_visions!  The feedback page is now totally useless for gathering information before leaving feedback.  Please change it back now!

Maybe it depends on what you sell. I haven't found that to be an issue at all.

Ebay needs to have the buyer leave feedbacks. Also sellers should be able to leavea negative feedback if buyer has not paid and they should be flagged and 30 day ban for first non payment with no reasonable explanation

No offense, but unless you have a second account then you haven't really sold enough to see the effect. I would be leaving 1000 feedback at a time and getting roughly 3 issues immediately crop up with those thousand items. It is a real thing, it is just very small.

Yes, please change it back to the previous version. This new way has no way to see if the item(s) have been delivered and only able to leave 10 feedback at a time without hitting the "load more" button. Very clunky and NOT user friendly. This is definitely a downgrade in our opinion.

It does not appear to be a complete destruction.

 

I just used the seller hub's " Shipped and awaiting your feedback" page to leave feedback for 12 transactions in bulk and nothing seems to have changed. The shipping/delivery status is right there on each transaction in the list.
